Stewardship Season This Sunday

Hopefully you recently received a letter from Josh and Rebecca about our upcoming stewardship campaign. As many of you know, we send out our Annual Pledge Cards to each of our Covenant Partners and friends. Our hope is that you can take time and discern how the Lord is calling you into stewardship of time, talent, and resources during this season of life. This Sunday will be our first of two Sundays (Nov. 9 & 16) that we collect our annual pledge cards together in worship. (If you don’t have one, we will have some available before worship.) Also, if you would prefer, you can just mail them back to the office. On behalf of the Stewardship Team, thank you for taking the time to prayerfully fill these out.

Please make sure to register and reserve your lunch by CLICKING HERE.

It Is Time To Nominate Your Elders For Next Year.

Please email Josh at josh@stgiles.org with your recommendation.

The church plant that St. Giles is supporting in Chesapeake, Sojourners Church, is celebrating their first anniversary soon! Keith and Sarah’s daughter, Dorothy Hood, and her husband Brandon are the pastors, and the Hills plan to attend this worship service on the 16th. They would love for others from St. Giles to join them, so let them know if you would like to come along!

The Hoods are grateful for the financial and prayer support of St. Giles. Please pray for some mature believers to join this work and help provide the leadership that is needed.

Remember to Lock the Door:

Sanctuary Restroom Change

To better accommodate our congregants with mobility challenges we have made a change to our restrooms in the front of the Sanctuary near the choir door. Both the upstairs and downstairs restrooms are now single occupant, unisex restrooms with locks on the doors. The hope is to eventually turn the downstairs restroom into a more accessible facility, but in the meantime, this will help create a safer option for those who the large flight of steps creates a challenge.

Donations Needed for Local Charities

The tree is already up, please bring your items to the church house and hang them up.

All donations must be received by November 25.

More Church Life

The store offers brand-new gifts to families in Gilpin Court and the surrounding areas at less than half of the purchase price. This model gives parents the dignity of providing Christmas gifts for their families at a price point they can afford. The store will be held on Saturday, December 7th. Gifts (unwrapped, with the purchase price marked on the item) are needed by Monday, December 1st. This info and a sign-up for volunteering the day of the event can be viewed at https://www.steprichmond.org/christmas

Please drop off your donations inside the church office.

Southwest Virginia Aid- Requesting Donation Items:

Dear Church Friends,

The mission for the people of southwest Virginia hurricanes and floods have changed to warm clothes for the children. Coats, shoes, clothing (underwear, sports bars, shirts, jeans), socks, hats, gloves. They have almost nothing. Make sure the clothing is clean and gently worn. Think about consignment stores or Goodwill. Thank you again for coming to the Aid of families that have very little.
