Office Volunteers Needed


St. Giles is looking for telephone/greeter volunteers to cover the Church House Office this summer. If you are available to answer the phone and direct visitors on:

  • Friday mornings (9 am -12:30 pm)
  • Monday afternoons (12:30 pm - 4:00 pm)
  • Thursday afternoons (12:30 pm - 4:00 pm)

Please contact Lynne Chambers at 804-396-3053. Responsible older teens will be considered for school service hours as well.

Zoo on the Lawn - June 18


Mark your calendar for this summer’s “Zoo on the Lawn” at 5:30pm, June 18.


This event is a great time for inviting friends and neighbors. We will have free hot dogs and hamburgers, ice cream from WestRay’s (the first 100 kids get a free ice cream!), and of course a petting zoo on the front lawn from Laughing Place Farms.


We’ll see you there!

Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Samaria Baptist Church, 8130 Lott Cary Rd, Providence Forge, VA.

St. Giles is Hiring


We are currently looking for a Communications Assistant to join the St. Giles team. This 20/hr a week employee will be responsible for all forms of communications, both to members and to the larger community. Primary hours of work will be from 9:00-1:00, M-F.

The winds of revival fires will be stirred when St. Giles’ Dr. Art Thomas facilitates a discussion of the lives of John and Charles Wesley, including the Wesleys’ conversions, evangelistic revival services, and hymns that Charles Wesley wrote during the First Great Awakening. Join us in the Welcome Center at 10:00 am tomorrow morning, June 5th. Lunch will follow the meeting for those whose schedules allow.

Thank you, thank you for all the clothes you brought for the families of North Carolina. My contact, Rick Grizzell, has moved his efforts to a tiny town in Virginia, Harly. They need paper products such as:


Toilet paper

Plastic silverware

Feminine products

Food Pantry Still Collecting Donations!


Dear church family,


Everyone associated with the food pantry gives our church a huge thank you for all we have given for the families needing food. What a huge blessing!


The pantry needs are:


Any nonperishable vegetables

Canned chicken

Peanut butter

Cake mixes/icing

Oatmeal
