Dear St. Isidore Families,

So very THANKFUL, incredibly GRATEFUL, unbelievably BLESSED
SIS knows how to throw an auction, and Auction 2019 was no exception! On Saturday night, we came together to celebrate who we are as both a school and a community. Guests arrived looking dapper, and the event looked stunning. The bubbly flowed and bids were made. And, in the end, our children came out the winners!
I am taken back by your generosity and support, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you to our amazing PTG --Angela & Doug Thompson, Melissa & Michael Twelvetrees, Theresa & Martin Dillon, Mo & Paul Smith, Christine & Chris Gaber, and Helen & Joe Deviney—for chairing this year’s event. Your hard work and dedication was evident, and the hours and hours of planning appreciated. Thank you to the many volunteers who helped make this night a success. Together, we make an awesome team!
Time to Register
Registration for the 2019–2020 school year has begun! An email addressed from Peggy Hawke was sent out by the diocese today, prompting you to register for next school year. The e-mail can take up to 24 hours to receive. If you do not receive it by Friday, March 15 th , please contact the office at (925) 837-2977 or email . Registration must be completed and fees paid by Friday, March 29th.
A separate registration email was sent for each child in the family. Please note that your Tuition Agreement will appear only under your oldest child’s registration. Please print out the agreement, sign it, and return it to school. Your chosen payment option should match your FACTS Agreement (Salmon) form . The official first day for the 2019–2020 school year will be Wednesday, August 14th, and it will be a noon dismissal.

Facts Tuition Agreement Form for 2019-20 (a salmon-colored form). Please make any changes to your Facts agreement directly onto the form. If you have a new student coming in the Fall, please add them to your form. New this year, we will offer three payment plans: pay in full, three payments (June, October, and February), or monthly (10 monthly payments). Please sign and return the form to the office by March 29th.

Who’s ready for a Fish Fry?
The Annual Lenten Fish Fry and Bingo will be held on Friday, April 12th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This family-friendly event is a wonderful opportunity to have a great meal while visiting with your fellow school families. Talent Show fun
Last Friday’s Talent show was terrific and the audience thoroughly enjoyed the show! I am so proud of the students who performed. They truly shone. Thank you to Mrs. Devine and Miss Groman for coordinating this fun event. Your hard work is greatly appreciated.

On Sunday, March 17 th , we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, a day honoring the patron Saint of Ireland. With that observance comes shamrocks, leprechauns, rainbows, the search for the infamous pot of gold, and lots of fun for children and adults alike. Please note that there will be NO SCHOOL THIS FRIDAY, MARCH 15 th due to a Diocesan Staff Day or Monday, March 18 th in observance of Pastor’s Holiday . Enjoy your long weekend and may the luck of the Irish be with you today and always!

Please pray for all those who are suffering or are in need of our thoughts and prayers, especially the Vitzthum Family's uncle - Brad Goforth and Rita Edwards. Please also pray for the Grandfather of the Cooper Family (Gracie-5th, Bowen-2nd) who recently went to Heaven. May God keep them in His tender, loving care.

Message from the Bookkeeper
FACTS Tuition
In today’s family envelope you will be receiving a Facts Tuition Agreement Form for 2019-20 (a salmon colored form) Make any changes to your agreement directly on the form.  If you have a new student coming in the fall, please write in the student’s name & the bookkeeper will add them to your existing FACTS agreement for you. Choose from 3 payment plans: Pay in full in June, 3-payment plan & monthly payments. We no longer have the two-pay or quarterly payment plans.  The form also allows you to indicate your donation to Mind the Gap, if you choose to do so using FACTS.  In mid-May, you will receive an e-mail from FACTS when your 2019-20 agreement is finalized & the new tuition rates have been added.     Please verify all information on this form, sign and return it to the office by March 29th !  Please direct any questions to our school bookkeeper, Melanie Fake, at 217-4038.
St. Isidore School Tuition Assistance Applications
Tuition Assistance applications for students, in Grades 1 through 8, for the 2019-20 school year will be available this Wednesday , March 13th. These are available on the school website & in the bookkeeper’s office. Please complete and return to the bookkeeper no later than Friday, April 20, 2019.
THE BASIC fund Tuition Assistance Applications
The BASIC fund also offers financial assistance. The Basic fund is open to families with at least one child who is attending private school for the first time. The earlier you apply the better your chances are of receiving a scholarship. Families applying for new siblings for the first time, must submit an application by March 15, 2019. Applications are available in the bookkeeper’s office or click here .
SIS Family Highlight
Winston is home! At last week's auction the adorable bulldog, Winston found his forever home with the Devoto Family (Rowan, Kindergarten). As you can see he fits in perfectly and is getting lots and lots of love. Thank you Devoto Family!
Great job guys! Congratulations to the SIS 5th graders that play Next Level Flag Football on advancing to the championship game. It is a huge accomplishment and we are proud of their efforts. This is the 4th year they have made it to the championships!

Impact Diablo Valley we celebrate you! Founders-Mindy Longo and Gina Harlow lead a philanthropic organization that encourages families in the area to get involved, learn more about local non-profits and gift powerful grants. The organization believes that teaching children to serve and help those in need will help make a brighter future for all. Pictured is school parent, Mindy Longo and Grayson (K). Good job! Library Corner
Warning! Dino-mite Book Fair Event Ahead! Come “Party Like A Dinosaur” at our annual Family Event on Friday, April 5 th from 3-5 pm. You will have a t-riffic time sampling the sweetivore cookies, visiting with fellow dinosaurs and dinorettes, and digging up the perfect read! Free dress pass with book purchases! There will be no PM carpool that afternoon, as cars and dinosaurs just don’t mix!
The dinosaurs wanted to remind you that our family event is a roarsom-ly good time to purchase books for the classroom libraries. The teachers get so excited when their reading raptors donate books to their class! After all, dinosaurs didn’t read and now they are extinct!

Technology Tips for Parents: Have your kids disengage from technology at least 30 minutes, preferably an hour, before bed. The blue light that devices emit stimulates the retina and decreases the brain’s production of melatonin, which makes falling asleep more difficult.
Choice Lunch Volunteer Opportunity
Choicelunch and SIS are looking for parents interested in volunteering at the lunch counter this school year! Volunteers are responsible for handing out lunches, and earn Choicelunch credits for every day worked. It’s a great way to get free lunch for your kids!
