May 1, 2019 - Walking Together in Faith
Compassion - Our Lady of Fatima
Dear St. Isidore Families,

“In the end, my Immaculate Heart will Triumph.” - Our Lady of Fatima
How fitting it is that, in the beautiful month of May, we celebrate the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of all mothers. We celebrate her kindness, compassion , and love for all. This month we honor the Gospel Value, Compassion , as well as Our Lady of Fatima . Our Lady of Fatima appeared in Portugal to three shepherd children starting in the year 1917. The children described her as being more brilliant than the sun. Fatima is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the world, visited year-round by thousands of people. It is a true celebration of faith.

Please join us for May Crowning Mass on Friday, May 3rd at 8:10 AM. During mass, the following eighth graders will place a crown of flowers on our beloved Mother: Chance Frost, Charlie Kratus, Sarah Martinez and Megan Terry .

A Special Day
Our prayers are with our sweet second graders this Saturday, May 4th, at 11:00 AM (Miss Landry’s class) and 1:30 PM (Mrs. Bobich’s class) , as they visit the Lord’s Table for the first time. The Sacrament of First Holy Communion is a special and memorable day for the children and for their parents. We send them our love and prayers. We will celebrate them, as a school, at an all-school Mass on Friday, May 10th at 8:10AM. Please join us.

Time to Run and have Some FUN!
Our annua l Fun Run is back by popular demand! The fun will kick off at morning assembly on Monday, May 6th. During the assembly, the Fun Run team will explain how the Fun Run works and the prizes that can be won. Students will also find out their grade-level theme for the day of the run. You should have already received an email from the Fun Run team with a link to your child’s Fun Run donation sheet. If you did not receive the email, please contact the school office. The students have a wonderful time taking part in the run and learn firsthand the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. The Fun Run will be held on Friday, May 17th . Get a jump start on PEP hours for next school year: click here to volunteer. Proceeds from this event will go to courtyard/playground updates, such as lighting, seating, sound system, wall ball, etc . Thank you in advance for your support.

Carpool Cooperation
It seems that, every couple of months, carpool rules need to be reiterated and reviewed. We ask our children to follow the rules and ask the same of you. Please take a moment to review following:

The TK/Kids Konnection Parking lot is for TK drop off only. Please do not drop off students in grades K-8 in this parking lot.

Students are not to be dropped off in the crosswalk, the green loading zone, or in front of the Church in the AM.

The Ministry Center Parking Lot is for Faculty/Staff parking. Please do not park there in the AM/PM, unless you are volunteering at school.

Please note that the curbs in front of the Ministry Parking lot have been painted red, and there is no parking.

Students arriving tardy should be signed in at the office by a PARENT and should enter alone.

After-school students must cross at the school crosswalk, NOT the Church crosswalk.

Please be aware that we have recently seen the city parking attendant monitoring the area and ticketing violators. Please help us ensure the safety of all by adhering to these school carpool rules. Your cooperation is appreciated.

PEP Hours Due
If you have yet to log PEP hours for the 2018-2019 school year, please come by the office to update ASAP. Invoices for unfulfilled service hours will be sent through the Family Envelope on Wednesday, May 15th. All balances due are to be paid prior to the end of school year. Any hours acquired after May 1st will go towards your volunteer requirements for the next school year.

I truly appreciate all the time and effort you have given to SIS this year. Honestly, we could not do it without you.

God bless,

Maria Ward, Principal
