April 15, 2020 - Anchored in His Love
Hope - St. Therese & St. Francis Xavier
Dear St. Isidore School Families,

“Happiness is enjoying the little things in life.”
It’s amazing what a little rest and sunshine can do! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter holiday and that you are enjoying your break thus far. I know that this Spring break is different—no vacation, no beach, no time with friends—but the feeling of joy and contentment remains the same. I hope you take the next few days to give your body and soul what it needs.
E-learning after the break
Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the SIS Distance Learning Parent/Guardian Survey . The feedback provided allows us to address your concerns, listen to your ideas and make adjustments where needed. The goal is always how best to serve our students, and continued feedback from parents is welcomed.
E-learning for grades TK–8 will resume on Monday, April 20. For now, the format for Middle School will remain the same. Grades TK–5 will see modifications, including dedicated hours for live instruction and student support as well as daily questions and answers on core content. Thank you for your continued support during this time.
Principal Search Committee
The process of finding a new principal is officially underway! Interviews began Monday and will continue through the next few weeks. My hope is to announce my successor at the beginning of May. As mentioned previously, our Principal Search Committee, overseen by Father Moran, includes representatives from the diocese, school board, parent and alumni community, parish staff and current faculty. They have spent numerous hours on Zoom calls discussing their roles and how best to serve our school. Their devotion is commendable and appreciated. Thank you to the following committee members: Tom Bobich, Laura Castillo, John Chiorini, Michelle Devine, Joanie Gerberich, Karen Goodshaw, Brian Rivera, Jean Schroeder, Masha Tippins, and Jill Tripaldi. Please keep the committee in your prayers.
Have a wonderful rest of the week!
God bless,
Maria Ward, Principal
Please pray for all those who are suffering or in need of our thoughts and prayers, especially Will Pringle and Mrs. Koskowich's sister who are both ill. Please pray for the grandmother of the Chatman Family who is recovering from surgery. Please pray for the many effected by COVID-19 including the Jacobson Family's cousin, Daniel O'Toole. May God keep them in His tender, loving care.

E-learning Fun
Build an Ant Farm with Mrs. Hutchinson! Our amazing teachers continue to inspire student learning with fun and creative activities. Check out 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Hutchinson, building an ant farm. We appreciate her dedication and love for learning. Good job Mrs. Hutchinson!
Random Acts of Kindness
Random acts of kindness are deliberate attempts to brighten another person's day by doing something thoughtful, nice, and caring. Go out and spread kindness, SIS! Please let the office know if you do or witness a RAOK.
Thanking those who work diligently to get us what we need!
4th grade teacher, Mrs. Trujillo encouraged her students to thank those who work tirelessly to provide supplies to households across the country. We acknowledge and thank our grocery clerks, delivery services, postal services and sanitary services for their hard work. Pictured is the snack 4th grade student, Olivia Reid left for those making deliveries to her house. Great job Olivia!
SIS Family Highlight
Welcome O'Mara Family! Ryan and his adorable son Hudson recently relocated to Danville from Grass Valley. Ryan, who grew up in Danville, is happy to be back closer to his family. Hudson, who had been attending St. Mary's School in Grass Valley, is thrilled to join Mrs. Caldwell's 2nd grade class. In his free time, Hudson enjoys baseball, basketball, soccer, and piano. We are so happy to welcome their smiling faces to the SIS community. Please take a moment to say hello when you see them on campus.
