May 15, 2019 - Walking Together in Faith
Compassion - Our Lady of Fatima
Dear St. Isidore Families,

“KIND people are my KIND of people.”
I am continually reminded that St. Isidore School is a special place filled with special people. Each year, we come together with a common goal of helping our children learn and grow. We operate as a family, sharing in each other’s joys and sorrows. We show up for school events, community outreach, and service projects. We celebrate one another’s special moments and milestones. We are truly bonded and a community like no other. Thank you for being part of the family!
As mentioned last week, our Band Director, Ms. Crossen, is retiring after 41 years. All are welcome to join us for her last band concert on Wednesday, May 22, in the Bensen Gym. Please help us spread the word to former students who may be interested in attending. I am grateful for her years of service and love of music!
We sing for Spring
Our annual Spring Concert will take place tomorrow, Thursday, May 16, at 7:00 p.m. There will be a dress rehearsal tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. The dress rehearsal is less crowded and is a great way for grandparents and friends to enjoy the show. Please make sure students arrive at the Msgr. Cardelli Activity Center no later than 6:50 p.m. The show will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. To keep things as organized as possible, we ask that you do not leave students unsupervised prior to the show or allow them to run around/play in the gym. Please also be patient and courteous when finding parking and seating; there is plenty of room for everyone. Click here to view a diagram of where classes will be placed during the show.
Students have been asked to dress in jeans and white t-shirts (plain preferred/no logo) with ʼ50s-style accessories. Example: black leather jackets, sunglasses, scarfs, letter-men jackets, bobby socks, etc. Please do not feel pressured to buy anything. The concert is strictly in the spirit of fun. If students do not have jeans please have them wear dark pants, uniform bottoms will work. Ms. Groman is truly a gift to our Music Department, and I am grateful for her hard work and dedication. Enjoy the show!
Time for the Fun Run
The annual SIS Fun Run will take place this Friday, May 17. Click here for the class schedule. Parents are welcome to attend to cheer on the runners. Please come by the office before the run to print a name badge. Depending on the weather, the Fun Run may take place in the Msgr. Cardelli Center. Each grade level was assigned a FUN theme for the day of the event. On the day of the run, students can wear athletic gear—long basketball shorts are okay (no leggings)—and accessorize with their class theme. Thank you for your support.

The purpose of a Sunshine Effort is to offe r support for families in our community. The type of support varies on the circumstance ~ from an illness or a family member’s passing to welcoming a new baby. In any case, we offer to provide a little “sunshine” for the family by coordinating meals, transportation, or simply writing a kind note.
