November 13, 2019 - Anchored in His Love
Grace - St. Thomas Moore & St. John Fisher
Dear St. Isidore Families,

Gratitude is the best attitude
November has officially been declared National Gratitude Month. How wonderful to have a month dedicated to thankfulness, togetherness and giving! This month, I encourage you to take a few moments each day to reflect on what you are grateful for – and know that I am truly grateful for YOU !

Spirit of Giving
SIS is once again participating in the "Running with Love” Thanksgiving basket donation program. Running with Love is a non-profit organization founded by SIS alumna Alyse Cronin. Your donation will go to providing families in need with a delicious Thanksgiving meal. Please see the Running with Love section below to see grade level donation requests. Thank you for your kindness!

Report Cards Go Home Today
First Trimester report cards go home today. It’s important to review them with your children. Think of a report card as a conversation starter, a way for children to talk about how they’re doing, what’s easy or difficult for them, and how you can help them do better. Report cards need to be signed and returned by Thursday, November 14 (tomorrow) . Star testing results will be included in your child's report card envelope. Teachers use Star testing to assess what students already know and what they are ready to learn next and to monitor student growth. It is used to guide instruction. The Star testing does not need to be returned; it is for your records. Please understand this is just one measure of student growth.

Random Acts of Kindness

Thank you for supporting the Blue Star Moms! A big thank you to everyone who donated Halloween candy to the Blue Star Moms. It's an awesome way to support our troops.
Common Sense Media Tip
Tip of the week : Take breaks - If you notice your kid getting pulled into digital drama, help them take a break. It's great if they can determine for themselves when they need to step back, but they might need some help setting limits. Putting devices to bed at a specific time, plus breaks for mealtimes and face-to-face connection, can help kids recharge.
