June 5, 2019 - Walking Together in Faith
Honesty - St. Anthony of Padua
Dear St. Isidore Families,

We made it!
It’s hard to believe that this is the last week of school and the last newsletter of the year. The rest of the week will be filled with end-of-year fun. Tomorrow, the students will enjoy their annual Field Day. See the Field Day section below for details on class colors and event specifics. Thursday will be a 12:00 p.m. dismissal, and there will be NO CARPOOL. Friday, June 7, will be the last day of school! Students dressed in “Sunday best” will attend an all-school mass at 8:10 a.m. Following the mass, there will be a “Parent Coffee.” The “Moving Up” ceremony will be held promptly at 9:55 a.m. and students will be dismissed at 10:00 a.m. Please note that there will be NO PM CARPOOL/KIDS KONNECTION that day .
Thursday/Friday are both non-uniform days. Please adhere to the following rules:
Field Day: Long sports shorts are allowed. Please make sure all shorts have a minimum 5-inch inseam. Leggings are prohibited, even worn under shorts. Students should wear shirts in the assigned class color.
Last Day of School: Students are to wear “Sunday Best.” Please NO sports shorts, rompers, jeans, or leggings. All dresses must adhere to the handbook guidelines ; shorts must have at least a 5-inch inseam. If you are wearing a sleeveless top or dress, it must have a 3-inch strap. If exposing your shoulders, please bring a sweater for mass. Sandles and Vans are acceptable as long as they have a back. As always, your cooperation is appreciated.
Looking Ahead
Please save the date for the following school events: This year’s Back to School BBQ will take place on Friday, August 16. The BBQ is a great way to kick off the school year, catch up with friends, and meet new school families. There will be a grilled cheese truck, taco truck, and wood-fired pizza available for purchase. The annual SIS Classic Golf Classic will be held on Monday, September 30. Look for more information on this fun event to follow.
SIS Sponsorship opportunities for next school year are available now. A sponsorship is a fun and easy way to support SIS while marketing your business or family name. Sponsorship dollars go right towards what matters—academic excellence in Catholic education. Thank you for your support!

Happy Summer
I want to wish you all a very happy and safe summer! Please be sure to take time as a family to talk, play, and pray together. As we leave for summer, I’d like to share the following prayer with you:
Lord God, We put ourselves into Your hands, and pray that You will bless us and our families during the wonderful months of summer.
May we all help make our home a place of relaxation, joy, love, peace, and safety.
May we be generous and considerate, not thinking only about ourselves,
but helping others enjoy the blessings of summertime.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Have a wonderful summer and I look forward to seeing you all in August!
God bless,
Maria Ward, Principal
