September 25, 2019 - Anchored in His Love
Empathy - St. Peter & St. Paul
Dear St. Isidore Families,

Happy news deserves to be shared
St. Isidore School truly operates as a family, celebrating each other’s happy moments and accomplishments, supporting one another in times of need, and providing comfort in times of sorrow. The connection we share is special and sets us apart from other communities. At Monday’s morning assembly, the students, faculty, and staff had a front row seat to an exciting “family moment” – Miss Devine’s surprise marriage proposal! The joy and shock on Miss Devine’s face filled the courtyard with loud cheers and happy tears. We have officially named the day “Marry Me Monday”. I encourage you to take a moment to view the proposal on our social media pages. Congratulations, Miss Devine!

Take me out to the book fair!
Our amazing Library team and their line-up of volunteers really hit it out of the park! The Bensen Gym has been transformed into our very own field of dreams and is filled with books and fun. Please take time to visit the book fair after school, after mass, or at one of the scheduled events. I invite you to come on out to the “ballpark” this Friday from 2:50–5:00 pm for the family event, Books and Baseball. To accommodate the event, carpool will be park-and-pick-up Friday afternoon.
Spread the word
Word of mouth is the number one way prospective parents find out about our school. Please help us spread the word to neighbors and friends about our upcoming TK–8th Grade Information Meeting on Friday, October 18, at 10:00 am. I appreciate your help. It’s always exciting to show new families how special SIS is. Guests can RSVP on our website, .
As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, SIS has partnered with alumni Richard and Ryan Mabanag along with Father G, the Knights of Columbus, and FAPSI to provide school supplies to needy students in the Philippines. Donations will be collected in the office hallway through the end of the week. For more information, click here . As always, your support and generosity is appreciated.
SIS Classic
I want to give a huge thank you to Michelle Czarnik and Kaite Merritt for organizing our annual Golf Classic, tennis and dinner scheduled for this Monday, September 30. It will be a wonderful day for the many golfers and tennis players participating. The dinner will provide us with an opportunity to gather and celebrate our fabulous community. Hope to see you there – and preferably in cooler weather!
God bless,
Maria Ward, Principal

Challenge Success Tip
Challenge Success : Define success on your terms.
Take time to consider the qualities you hope your children have when they leave the nest. How you define success is analogous to your mission statement as a parent. Without considering this explicitly, many families unwittingly default to the prevailing, narrow notion of success. Resist parent peer pressure, be informed and trust your gut.
SIS Family Highlight
Welcome Todd Family! Matt and Lauren are loving parents of three happy boys: Marcus (2nd Caldwell), Luca (K Johnson) and Hudson. They’ve lived in Danville for seven years and love their home and community. The boys can’t get enough time with their Legos and each other. Matt and Lauren are avid athletes and want little more than a cup of coffee and time with their boys. Lauren stays at home raising the boys and Matt works in town. They’re all extremely excited to be part of the SIS community!
