Walking Together in Faith
Hospitality - St. Isidore the Farmer - Volunteer Week B
Dear St. Isidore Families,
Last week I spoke about how things don’t always go according to plan. This week’s note to ponder of the “Five Things We Cannot Change” is that life is not always fair. We try to teach our children that you win some and you lose some. Teaching this lesson early helps them be able to handle the parts of life that do not go their way. I tell my children that all things happen for a reason and God is always fair. It is important that we trust in Him, especially when we do not get our way.

Back to School Nights: It was so good seeing everyone in grades TK - 5 last night. I hope that the information that we shared was helpful and we will share it with middle school parent’s tomorrow evening. We are all in it together and if you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to seeing our parents from grades 6 - 8 tomorrow, at 6 PM, in the church. We will dismiss at approximately 7 PM, and you will go to your child’s homeroom and the teachers will rotate through.

Back to School Dinner Social : I hope you were able to come to the Social last week. It was an enjoyable time and it is fun to see the whole community together. The children were a delight to watch having good old-fashioned fun. Thank you to those who joined us. Thank you to Paola McNamara and the school board for organizing and hosting this evening.

Noon Dismissal : This Friday, August 31, is a 12:00 dismissal and there is no school on Monday, September 3 in observation of Labor Day. Kids Konnection will be open after school on Friday and closed on Monday.

The SIS Classic : Tickets are on sale now. The golf tournament and dinner
are great ways to get to know people in our community. The company is good and the food is good. Thank you to Michelle Czarnik for chairing this fabulous event. If you would like to volunteer, please sign up here . Make sure to buy your ticket before the price goes up on September 5th. See our here to purchase your golf and dinner tickets. Don’t miss out!

Drama : There are still a few spaces still available for “The Jungle Book” and “The
Odyssey” drama shows. Please see the school website for more details.

School Security : To follow up from last night’s back-to-school meeting, school safety is at the top of our priority list. We are actively pursuing all options to make our campus more secure. Currently, we are meeting with several security companies to help with securing the perimeter of the school, as well as the interior. We are getting quotes for fences/gates to enclose the campus and additional security cameras to add to the ones we currently use. We will continue to keep you informed of all security measures.

Have a great long weekend with your family.

Sincerely,
Maria Ward
Principal
