Walking Together in Faith
Hospitality - St. Isidore the Farmer
Dear St. Isidore Families,

We extend a warm welcome to our new members — faculty, families, and students —as well as all those who are returning to St. Isidore School. The office is in full swing and teachers are preparing their classrooms. Please click here to see a full list of our faculty and staff.

We hope everyone has had a good summer and that you are getting your last days of vacation behind you. We expect to see everyone on the first day with smiles and lots of stories to tell about their summers next Tuesday, August 21th.

Every year we have a theme. This year our theme is “Walking Together in Faith.” What does it mean? It means that we are one school, one family, one community, and our FAITH in Christ is the heart.

Our Meet and Greet with the TK/K teachers is on Monday, August 20th, and this is for TK/K students only. Classrooms will be open from 10:30–11:30 am to meet the TK/K teachers and to drop off school supplies. All other class lists will be posted on the school website, under Student Life, after 12:00 noon on Monday, August 20th.

The second Newcomers Meeting has been cancelled. Please contact your sponsor family, our Newcomers Committee, , or call the school office with any questions you may have. Returning families, we are still in need of sponsor families. Please contact our Newcomers Committee if you are interested in becoming one.

We hope you will join us at our upcoming events: First Day of School Coffee, PTG Volunteer meeting, Back to School BBQ, Back to School Night sessions, and Parent Info Night. More info on dates and times can be found below or on our school website .

KidsChoir is starting soon, on Thursday, September 6. All students in grades two through eight are welcome to join and first graders are welcome on a trial basis. Students must be registered in order to participate . Rehearsals will be Thursdays from 3:30–4:30 pm in the St. Isidore Room. Students are brought over after school by a choir parent and supervised until rehearsal begins. For m ore info and to register, please visit the M usic Ministry website .

Each new school year brings new hope and inspiration for growth and learning. As our theme reminds us, we are stronger as a whole community working together than we are as individuals. Together we will continue to build our community of FAITH, and together we will help each other live as Jesus lived, because together we are St. Isidore School.

With Christ’s Blessings,

Maria Ward

Commnications Corner
We will say goodbye to Class Pages, Parent, and Student portals on our school website. O ur school will be adopting a new Learning Managment System (LMS), Schoology. All teachers and office staff will use this new LMS to share information with parents and students grades 4-8. Parents will receive more information at our Back to School Night sessions and receive account information, via email, shortly after. Each parent will be “linked” to each of their students' classes/courses and students in grades 4-8 will have the same access. Schoology also has single sign on capabilities. All parents, teachers, and students in grades 4-8 will be able to access many different learning apps and platforms, while logged into Schoology, as well as check grades in PowerSchool. This will allow all parties, to save time logging into each app or website, as well as eliminating the need to remember all the different passwords. We hope Schoology will become the main mode of communication as well as a place to obtain information.

TextZone and MySchoolAnywhere
We will continue to use TextZone and MySchoolAnywhere. Please look for the a text to sign up for the different texting groups, as well as an email to update/create an account with MySchoolAnywhere, our online directory.
