January 23, 2019 - Walking Together in Faith
Faith - St. Elizabeth Seton
Dear St. Isidore Families,

One of my favorite weeks of the year, Catholic School Week, is right around the corner. It offers an opportunity to celebrate together our faith, community, and Catholic education . Much has changed in Catholic schools since I wore a uniform, but much remains the same. Catholic schools encourage students to live their faith, find their truth, live with a generous spirit, and reach their full academic potential. I am proud of our rich history and believe the future holds great things.

The faculty and staff are hard at work preparing for the week’s events. The observance kicks off Sunday, January 27, after the 9:00 am mass . Students are encouraged to come to mass in full uniform and will receive a free dress pass for doing so (just stop by the school office). After mass, the school is open for Sneak-A-Peek. It is an exciting opportunity to show off to our parishioners and potential new families what our students are learning and what they have accomplished. I invite you to bring your friends and neighbors, particularly those who may be considering a Catholic education for their children. Click here or scroll down to view the week’s agenda. New this year is a Community Social after school on Monday . Swing by for popcorn, punch, and a visit to the new SIS “pup-up” store , The Dog House.

A Day of Giving
St. Isidore will once again be participating in an online giving campaign, Many Gifts, One Nation: A Day of Giving to Catholic Schools, made possible by NCEA. A Catholic education can have a profound impact today and provide a future filled with opportunities to make a positive difference. Please consider donating by clicking here . All donations, small or large, are greatly appreciated, and they will go directly to St. Isidore.

Need PEP hours
Please consider signing up to help with Science Fair on Thursday, January 31, or with the Fifth Annual Catholic Schools Bake Off on Wednesday, January 30. The Bake Off is a fun event where you bake a brunch item for our grateful staff. The staff will judge their favorite dish and the winner will win free dress passes for their entire family. As always, your continued support is appreciated by all.

A trip back in time
Our fifth graders had a wonderful time at Colonial Days last week! They spent their morning practicing tin art, quill writing, cross stitch, and other activities from that era. We want to thank the teachers and the many volunteers who came to help. A special thank you to the event chairs, Mrs. Katie Thrasher and Mrs. Melissa Durkee. Your hard work and dedication ensured a successful day of learning and fun!

Give to the Gala
The planning for this year’s auction is full steam ahead! Your support is needed to ensure the success of the school’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Please help us secure the class donations listed here by donating to your class donation fund. Click here to donate or submit a check to the front office or your classroom teacher. As always, your generosity is appreciated.
