FIA collection for
Mother's Day, May 14
We are continuing to collect feminine hygiene products (tampons, pads, and liners) for Dexter food pantry clients. If you wish to purchase a large, economy size, be assured that food pantry workers will divide into smaller quantities. Or you can always write a check, and Outreach members will do the shopping. (Please note FIA Mother's Day.) Thank you!

Plant donations for our garden
If you would like to donate perennials for our garden, please bring them to church on Mother's Day, May 14. This is also Rogation Sunday, the 5th Sunday after Easter, when we ask for God's blessings on agriculture and industry.

Congregational Meeting
Sunday, May 21
There will be a congregational meeting during coffee hour on Sunday, May 21. We will be discussing the status of our budget deficit and plans for addressing it.
| |
|
Wednesday, May 31, 7 pm
We will be meeting by Zoom to discuss Poverty, By America (by Matthew Desmond). It is already a #1 New York Times Bestseller. The Pulitzer Prize–winning author of Evicted reimagines the debate on poverty, making a “provocative and compelling” (NPR) argument about why it persists in America: because the rest of us benefit from it. Mother Carol has copies if you would like to borrow one.
