Vestry Nominations

The St. Paul’s Nominating Committee is pleased to present the slate of outstanding candidates to you for 2026 voting.

Candidate for Warden: Erin Glanton

Candidates for Vestry (Class of 2028): Swing Harre, Doug Kelley, and Christopher Moore

Erin Glanton has completed her second term as warden. She is eligible to be nominated for a third term and has agreed to serve. Doug Kelley is nominated for his first term on the Vestry and Swing Harre, and Christopher Moore are nominated for their second term on the Vestry.

The Nominating Committee is charged with presenting a single slate of candidates with one person nominated for each open position. Nominations “from the floor” are available and can be made at or prior to the Annual Meeting in January. Nominations prior to the Annual Meeting allow the candidates to include their biographical information in the Epistle and be included on ballots. To be nominated “from the floor,” the nomination must be made by a parishioner in good standing, meet the requirements for the office, agree to stand for office, and be seconded by 10 additional parishioners in good standing. Anyone interested in the definition of “in good standing” or “requirements for office” should contact the church office.

Members of the Nominating Committee: Al Glanton, Doug Kelley, Jane Newcomb, and Hilary Streever, The Rev. Dan Burner (Ex-Officio, non-voting member), and Ingrid Stanlis (Chair, with no vote, except in a tie).

Parish Prayer List

We entrust into your unfailing care, Merciful God...

Those for whom our prayers have been requested: Eric Beach, Shelia Eiss, Cheri Potter, Jean Rodman, Luke Humphry, Bill & Diane Bailey, Lois, Matthew, Donna Grear, Gwen Cheney, Hans Thurston, Nathan, Noreen, Scott, Bertha Simpkins, Jeff, Tom, Amelia Smith, Ella Richard-Dyson, and Bill Dewart. We give thanks for the birth of Mackenzie Reese Nicoletti.

Our nation and the world: the President, Congress, and Supreme Court; our Governor, Mayor, and the leaders of the communities from which we come; members of our military at home and abroad; for all those elected or appointed to positions of public trust, and for peace throughout our world.

The Church throughout the world, especially for Sean Rowe, the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church; Kara Wagner Sherer, Bishop of Rochester; for the clergy and staff of St. Paul's, and for our partners in ministry.

With thanksgiving, our health care professionals, first responders, essential workers, and farmworkers.

Those who have died, especially Jane Kitchen and Len Smith, and all of those whom we love but see no longer.

Almighty and eternal God, ruler of all things in heaven and earth: Mercifully accept the prayers of your people, and strengthen us to do your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer for St. Paul's

O God, our heavenly Father, make the door of St. Paul's Church wide enough to receive all who need love and fellowship and loving care, and narrow enough to shut out all envy, pride and uncharitableness. Make its threshold smooth enough to be no stumbling block to children, but strong enough to turn back the tempter's power.

O heavenly Father, make the door of St. Paul's a gateway to your eternal kingdom; bless every member and worker; may all that we do and say be done and said to your honor and glory and the spreading of your kingdom. May we continue to be forever yours and daily increase through the Holy Spirit in love and service to others; through Christ our Lord. Amen.
