Vestry On-Call

Canon Lurelean Gaines, Senior Warden

Vestry members are partners with clergy, encouraging the growth of community and the establishment of common ground in the spiritual life of the congregation. Parishioners are always welcome to speak with these individuals on Sunday morning; they assist in making sure our questions, comments, or concerns are heard.

DONATIONS towards Christmas 2023 at the Cathedral can still be made online by visiting our website. Your contributions will support our annual tradition of festive greens, poinsettias, wreaths, and seasonal music. Dedications are warmly welcomed and envelopes will be on the welcome table.

Community

Compline

Is scheduled be held next Sunday January 7, 2024 at 8:00pm. The service is sung in its entirety by the choir under the direction of Dr. Christopher Gravis with a time for light refreshment and fellowship afterwards. The ancient office of Compline derives its name from a Latin word meaning ‘completion’ (completorium). It is above all a service of quietness and reflection before rest at the end of the day

Tis' the Season of Giving

There is still time to make a tax-deductible donation to Cathedral ministries as the year approaches an end. The ministry of Stewardship is about receiving God’s blessings from those to whom we minister. And, to paraphrase from Reverend James Lee Walker’s sermon on rediscovering lay ministry, we must recognize that we are the hands, hearts, eyes, ears, mouth, and presence of Christ in our daily life inside and outside the church.
