Meet Jeremy Ziemann!
As a part of our ministry plan, passed as a congregation last weekend, we affirmed our desire to continue to mentor, build up, and support future workers in Christ’s church. As a part of this work, we’d like to welcome Jeremy Ziemann as our youth ministry intern for the next six months of ministry here at St. John’s. Jeremy will be interning with Alan Lull, our director of youth and missions, and working in our Campus Care ministry. Here’s a bit about him:

Hello! My name is Jeremy Ziemann, and I am from Concordia University - Ann Arbor for my Family Life Education internship. I have chosen youth ministry as a focus for my major, and as such, I am going to be working with Alan Lull until December this year to learn and to experience a taste of ministry. Having been raised in Wisconsin for much of my life, I wanted to get back to my roots around the area I grew up, and Alan and I were a perfect fit. This year, I will be leading and learning on the job as I immerse myself in church ministry for this entire process. You might recognize my last name, Ziemann, because of my father Pastor Kurt Ziemann, former pastor of Immanuel in Random Lake and St. Stephen’s in Batavia. I am excited to reacquaint myself with anyone I know, and just as excited to meet new brothers and sisters in Christ. If you see me around the church, whether working at the school or with Alan, make sure to say hello and I would love to get to know you. I am looking forward to growing with everyone around here, and I’m deeply blessed to have this opportunity to serve this year. God's blessings as this summer begins!
Perhaps you’ve seen on the news that Wisconsin is in the midst of an emergency blood donation shortage? Come out to help St. John’s connect, care, and share with our West Bend community as we host a blood drive for “Versiti” (formerly “Blood Center of Wisconsin”). The blood drive will take place in the Lower Level on Thursday, July 8, from 1:00 PM -6:00 PM.

Families - what a blessing and honor it is to host an in-person VBS this year! Children ages 3yrs (and potty trained) through 5th grade are welcome to participate in St. John's Annual Vacation Bible School! The theme this year is Rocky Railway: Jesus’ Power Pulls us Through… join us as we explore the rocky mountains with our bible buddies, station leaders, and crew leaders. Through the opening skits, songs, bible verse, bible stories, crafts, games, and even snack, God's good message of hope and love are spoken. Bring a friend and join us!
VBS Online Registration opened May 13th! Register HERE.

Registration fees are non-refundable. VBS protocols are being developed and will be available in June.

Calling all VBS Volunteers!!! It’s that time of year again when I am in need of strong, amazing, sweet, sassy, loud, quiet, Jesus-loving volunteers. Do any of those descriptive words describe you? I’m sure at least one of them did, so jump on board and join the team of VBS Volunteers. We are gearing up for another week of fantastic fun this summer (July 12th-16th). Volunteers meet in the Volunteer room by 8:30 am every morning during the week of VBS so that you are ready to welcome your crews or jump to the station you will be helping at. By 12:30 pm, you are typically finished serving for the day. If you have any questions, please contact me, Desiree Titus, at and I would be more than happy to answer any of your questions.
