March 19, 2020
Dear Parishioners,

With the suspension of all Masses issued through Archbishop Hebda on March 18, 2020, there are many changes and updates that affect operations at St. Jonn the Baptist Catholic Church. Please read the details below carefully.

All updates shared here will immediately be added to the website for your easy reference.
  • The parish office IS CLOSED, effective Friday, March 20. Door #11 is open daily from 7AM-6PM to receive deliveries and allow entrance for those wishing to pray in church with the Blessed Sacrament.
  • The school office and entire school building IS CLOSED. Open date TBD.
  • The church atrium is CLOSED, effective Thursday, March 19. (updated 3/19)
  • Extreme measures are being taken care of by our maintenance staff to continually sanitize and clean all surfaces to avoid contamination and the spread of germs.
  • Funerals will be limited to immediate family with no visitation and no luncheon. This is an interim protocol determined based on guidelines from the federal government and CDC to not exceed 10 persons in a single gathering.
  • Baptisms will be delayed for the time-being. If you were on the calendar, someone will be reaching out to you. (updated 3/19)
  • Remember, Adoration has been moved into the church as a way to maintain our perpetual adoration, but allow for social distancing. Scheduled adorers will follow normal adoration protocol until directed otherwise.
  • All reconciliation services are canceled. The next opportunity for confession will be Saturday, March 28 at 3:30PM. Additional hours and opportunities are being arranged at this time. (updated 3/19)

Those entering the church to pray or come to adoration should please utilize extreme caution and use the following guidelines:
  • If you choose to come to church, maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from other people
  • Do not leave anything in the pews
  • Wash your hands and cover your cough
  • If you are in a high-risk group (age 70+ or have an underlying health condition that puts you at higher risk), please stay home
  • If you are ill or exhibiting symptoms of cold or flu, please stay home
