“True reverence for the Lord’s passion means fixing the eyes of our heart on Jesus crucified and recognizing in him our own humanity.”
–Pope St. Leo the Great
Holy Saturday-Sacrament of Reconciliation Opportunity

Drive up confessions will be offered this Saturday, April 11 from 10AM-12PM from the window of the Rectory (Yep! You read that right!). Please enter for confessions through the church parking lot from the west side of the campus and follow the signs to pull up on the left side of the road in front of the rectory garage/side entry. Please remain in your car with your windows up as you await your turn. When it's your turn, walk up to the marked window. The shade will be pulled for privacy. Father will hear your confession and then you are asked to return to your car and drive away. If there are more than one of you in the car, please have only one person get out of the car at a time. Remember, this is an excellent opportunity to receive the sacrament of reconciliation for many so BE BOLD, BE BRIEF, and BE GONE! ;)

In anticipation of Easter, the church will not be open on Saturday. The church will be open for prayer only on Easter Sunday, April 12 from 12-6PM.
Do you long for your connection time after weekday Mass? We do too! We are offering a connection point for you to join together virtually through Zoom, an online meeting hangout service.

This new "Virtual After Mass Gathering" will be at 9AM on Mondays, beginning next Monday, April 13.
You will use the link below to join then enter the CODE. To keep this private and secure, if you'd like to participate, you will need to email Beth Prendi at bprendi@stjohns-savage.org to get the code. Some who already responded to the survey (below) may have already been emailed the code.

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY
Celebrate God’s Gift of Mercy
Divine Mercy Sunday-April 19

This year we will celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday via livestream immediately following the 10am Mass. See the links below to learn more about the devotion of Divine Mercy. Our Lord gave St. Faustina the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and a 9 day Novena to prepare for this devotion. If possible, you should go to confession and pray this Novena of Chaplets beginning on Good Friday and continue for the nine days leading up to Divine Mercy Sunday.

Our Lord told St. Faustina “ By this novena, I will grant every possible grace to souls. Especially at the hour of death ” (Diary 796) (1224) “ Jesus, I Trust in You ” (327) “ I am Love and Mercy itself ”(1074)... Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet (699)... My Mercy is greater than your sins and those of the entire world (1485).

In addition to the links below, pamphlets to pray the Novena can be picked up inside the parish office using door 11 during open church hours.

RESOURCES
How are you going to celebrate Easter? Consider joining in this Easter Sing-A-Long!

The Cross and Light Sing-a-Long on Easter Sunday at 3PM will use lyric videos which will animate the lyrics on the screen for every song! As you watch the lyrics appear on the screen, sing-a-long with the music and together, we can pray and sing through the greatest love story of all time!
During the sing-a-long, you'll experience Jesus' love for us in the Last Supper. His agony and fear in the garden. Peter's guilt and shame when he denies Christ three times. The Blessed Mother's trust in God and her grief at the foot of the cross. And then...when you experience the joy of the risen Lord on Easter Sunday, you will rejoice like never before!
