Jonestown Council of Churches Thanksgiving Worship Service
will be on SUNDAY NOVEMBER 24 at 7 pm, at Zions Evangelical Lutheran Church .

Let us come together as a community of neighbors, and a community of faith, to give thanks to God for the many blessings we have in our lives.

Pastor Len Knighton from St. John's United Church of Christ will be preaching.

The offering collected this night will support the Jonestown Council of Churches Re-lease Time Christian education program at Jonestown Elementary.
Power Packs Project
Volunteers needed for Power Packs: The Jonestown Council of Churches supports this program at Jonestown Elementary, which is an initiative to 1) provide weekend food for children who receive free/reduced price lunches during the week and 2) to teach families how to cook healthy, frugal meals.

Each week, we need two volunteers to serve at the school from 2:45-4 PM. Volunteers help with sorting the bags, and distributing to families when they arrive.

Volunteers can expect to serve once every four to six weeks, during the school year (program is canceled on snow days!)

If you are able to help with this project, please reply to Pastor Caitlin Kurtz at 717-865-3652 or pastorckurtz@gmail.com as soon as possible!

Attention Amazon Shoppers
If you shop on Amazon, please use www.smile.amazon.com as the web site when you do your shopping. This is a small way you can help your church. Even your family members and friends can participate. At the top of the menu, search for St. John's United Church of Christ Jonestown. Once you select that charity anything you buy, the church will receive a portion of what you've spent.  There is no difference in pricing or selections when using the smile.amazon.com web site. Thank you for supporting St. John's.
Enjoy the Convenience of Electronic Giving
It is encouraging to see both new and familiar faces at our worship services. Throughout the year, many of you already support the congregation with your time, talent and financial contributions but greater participation is always welcome. We encourage you to look into our electronic giving program. It takes just a few minutes to set up a recurring giving plan. Contact the church office for more details or pick up an authorization form today.
