Weekly Parish Message
From Sarah Bentley Allred
Director, Children's Ministry

You might not know this about me yet, but I love a good list. And I have a lot of them. There is the grocery list, the “to do” list for each of my jobs, our home improvement wish list, my list of personal “to do” tasks, the leftover staycation “to do” list still hanging on our fridge…. I could go on. But there is one list I didn’t make this year: a list of New Year’s Resolutions.
On December 31st, almost ten months into this devastating global pandemic, I found myself reflecting on how the uncertainty of 2020 has shaped me. I’m not planning as far in advance as I did before. I’m holding any plans I do make loosely. The future seems fragile.
Annual Parish Meeting, Part II
Sun, Jan 31 after 9 am worship
Stay on our regular Sun morning Zoom worship "meeting" to hear a presentation from our Rector and Vestry on St. John's ministry and mission priorities for 2021 and the operating budget that supports all we do.

John Drymon,
Interim Music Director
Welcome to our new Interim Music Director, John Drymon
John has served as Accompanist on organ and piano at St. John's since Sept 2020. His extensive experience and gifts as a church musician, the breadth of his repertoire (from Bach to rock!), his knowledge of digital music recording/editing technologies, and his great sense of humor make him an exceptional gift to St. John's during this season of transition. Welcome, John, and thank you for your leadership!

Volunteers needed to
operate new A/V system
Our new A/V system in the church is being installed now. We hope to begin using it to livestream worship beginning mid-February. Now all we need is a team of volunteers to operate it!

Professional training will be provided in late January. Please join Mo. Sarah+ for an interest meeting on Jan 14 to learn more and see if this ministry is for you.
