Message from Mo. Sarah Phelps, Rector
It has been a beautiful thing to see so many of you “in the flesh” these past few weeks.

About 15 of us walked ten times around the Columbarium for CROP WALK last Sunday, spaced out and with masks on. Our choir met this week, even though they have no Music Director right now and they can’t sing together in person. Nevertheless, it was great to see them...

Beginning on October 7th, we have made the following changes to our Weekly Eucharist Service:

We will gather on Wednesdays instead of Thursdays.

Weekly Eucharists will be at 11 am (inside the church) and 6 pm (outside).

Inside service will be limited to 25 attendees, outside service limited to 50 attendees.

Liturgy of Healing will remain the same (first Sunday of the month thru Nov, outside at 11 AM).

"Drive-By" Blessing of the Animals
St John's Parking Lot
In the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, we gather each year to bless and celebrate our beloved pets and all animals who are such a varied and wonderful part of God’s Creation. All pets are welcome and ashes may also be blessed if you bring them.

CROP Hunger Walk
"A fantastic success!" is one way to describe 2020 Wake Forest's 41st CROP Hunger Walk, which, due to covid 19 circumstances, was also the community's first Virtual Walk. Nonetheless, this year's effort to help feed the hungry, both locally and beyond, totaled nearly $17,300 as of Thursday morning.

If you believe a fellow member has gone "above and beyond" for St. John's Church or our community, you can nominate them for a special "thank you"! Email Barbara in the church office barbara@stjohnswf.com
Mynn Paige has been a faithful volunteer who stepped in to help with Summer Nutrition Program/Wake Forest Community Meals when Jayne Bennett moved to California. Mynn has lifted thousands of pounds of food over the last two months, picked up and delivered meals to our site and been a kind and caring presence to our volunteers and the families we serve. Thank you Mynn!
