Hymn of Praise
Holy, Holy, Holy #64 v. 1, 3, 4
Holy, holy, holy!
 Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning
our song shall rise to thee.
Holy, holy, holy!
 Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy!
 Though the darkness hide thee,
though the eye of sinful man
 thy glory may not see,
only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
perfect in power, in love and purity.

Holy, holy, holy!
  Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name,
in earth and sky and sea.
Holy, holy, holy!
 Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity.

Prayer of Intercession

Prayer of Confession
Holy and Righteous God, we come today recognizing that your ways are not our ways; that your wisdom is far above ours. We desire the goodness and blessings you offer, O Lord, yet our pursuit of those blessings is often guided by the ways of this world. Forgive us for our arrogance, our self-reliance, and our tendency to compromise your justice for our convenience. Strengthen us to seek you with our whole hearts and desire the right and good ways of your kingdom above all else, such that the glory of your Son and the wisdom of your ways are revealed to all.
In Jesus’ name. Amen

Thy Word
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet
and a light unto my path.
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet
and a light unto my path.

When I feel afraid, think I’ve lost my way,
still you’re there right beside me.
And nothing will I fear,
as long as you are near,
Please be near me to the end.

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet
and a light unto my path.
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet
and a light unto my path.

Now I will not forget
your love for me and yet
 my heart forever is wandering.
Jesus, be my guide
and hold me to your side,
and I will love you to the end.
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet
and a light unto my path.
And a light unto my path.
And a light unto my path.

Hymn
Be Thou My Vision #451
Be thou my vision,
 O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me,
 save that thou art.
Thou my best thought,
 by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping,
 thy presence my light.

Be thou my wisdom,
 and thou my true word;
I ever with thee
 and thou with me, Lord;
Thou and thou only,
 first in my heart,
Great God of heaven, my treasure thou art.

Great God of heaven,
 my victory won,
May I reach heaven’s joys,
 O bright heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart,
 whatever befall,
Still be my vision,
 O Ruler of all.
