Hymn of Praise
Love Divine, All Loves Excelling #384, v.1-3
Love divine, all loves excelling,
joy of heaven, to earth come down;
Fix in us thy humble dwelling;
all thy faithful mercies crown!
Jesus, thou art all compassion,
pure, unbounded love thou art;
Visit us with thy salvation;
enter every trembling heart.
Breathe, O breathe thy loving Spirit
into every troubled breast!
Let us all in thee inherit;
let us find that second rest.
Take away our bent to sinning;
Alpha and Omega be;
End of faith, as its beginning,
set our hearts at liberty.
Come, Almighty to deliver,
let us all thy life receive;
suddenly return and never,
nevermore thy temples leave.
Thee we would be always blessing,
serve thee as thy hosts above,
pray and praise thee without ceasing,
glory in thy perfect love.

Affirmation of Faith – The Apostles’ Creed
Prayer of Intercession
Prayer of Confession
Almighty God, You are our rock and refuge. We come today longing for the strength and freedom from sin you offer to us through your Son. Still, we confess that we often struggle to follow in your ways. We have harbored malice toward those we disagree with, we have been deceitful in our relationships, and we have been insincere in our commitments. Forgive us, Lord, and lead us to genuine repentance. Guide us, your children, to long for your pure, spiritual food that we may grow into the joy of your salvation, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Message in Music/Hymn
Christ is the Rock
Christ is the Rock on which I stand.
He keeps me safe from the sinking sand.
He pulls me up from the miry clay.
Christ is the Rock, He is the way!
Christ is the Rock on which I stand.
He keeps me safe from the sinking sand.
Through shadows dim I will follow Him.
Christ is the Rock, He is the way!
Christ is the Rock on which I stand.
He keeps me safe from the sinking sand.
Though the thunders roll, He calms my soul.
Christ is the Rock, He is the way!
My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
On Christ, the solid Rock I stand;
all other ground is sinking sand;
all other ground is sinking sand.
Christ is the Rock on which I stand.
He keeps me safe from the sinking sand.
Christ is the Rock, He’s the Rock!
He is the way! CHRIST IS THE ROCK!

Hymn
For the Bread Which You Have Broken #614 (v. 1, 2, 4)
For the bread which you have broken, for the wine which you have poured,
for the words which you have spoken,
now we give you thanks, O Lord.
By this pledge that you do love us,
by your gift of peace restored,
by your call to heaven above us,
hallow all our lives, O Lord.
In your service, Lord, defend us,
in our hearts keep watch and ward;
in the world where you have sent us,
let your kingdom come, O Lord.
