Hymn of Praise
Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee #89 v. 1, 3.4
Joyful, joyful, we adore thee,
 God of glory, Lord of love;
hearts unfold like flowers before thee,
 opening to the sun above.
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness;
 Drive the dark of doubt away.
Giver of immortal gladness,
 fill us with the light of day!

Thou art giving and forgiving,
 ever blessing, ever blest,
well-spring of the joy of living,
 ocean depth of happy rest!
Thou our Father, Christ our brother,
 all who live in love are thine;
teach us how to love each other,
lift us to the joy divine.
lift us to the joy divine.

Mortals, join the mighty chorus
 which the morning stars began;
love divine is reigning o’er us,
 binding all within its span.
Ever singing, march we on-ward,
 victors in the midst of strife;
joyful music leads us sun-ward,
 in the triumph song of life.

Prayer of Intercession

Prayer of Confession
Gracious God, your ongoing presence in our lives reveals to us how you are always mindful of your eternal covenant. We have experienced your guidance and provision; thank you for your steadfast love and abiding faithfulness. Lord, we want to live according to your ways, yet often rely on our strength, our intellect, and our creativity to navigate the uncertainties of life. Forgive us, O God. Humble us that we may cling to you, fully expecting and depending on your blessing. Transform us, that we may emerge reborn by your Spirit, known to all by our relationship with you, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Hymn
Great is Thy Faithfulness #140
Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
 there is no shadow of turning with thee;
Thou changest not, thy compassions,
 they fail not;
As thou hast been, thou forever wilt be.

Great is thy faithfulness!
 Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
 all I have needed thy hand hath provided;
Great is thy faithfulness,
Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter and spring-time and harvest,
sun, moon, and stars
 in their courses above
join with all nature in manifold witness
 to thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.

Great is thy faithfulness!
 Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
 all I have needed thy hand hath provided;
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
 thine own dear presence
 to cheer and to guide;
strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
blessings all mine,
 with ten thousand beside!

Great is thy faithfulness!
 Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
 all I have needed thy hand hath provided;
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
