Sanctity of Life - Feb. 11 Sermon Message
The Bible tells us that we are created and purposed from our mother's womb, but the dignity of life goes far beyond that. We are called to be voices and advocates for all life, and especially for those who cannot speak for themselves. When we choose to see people as God does, we are moved to love others in a way that honors our creator. Being pro-life is a world-view - a life view - that should transcend culture, class, race, age and opinion. From the formation of a child's first tiny cell, to life's final breath, all life has inherent dignity and value.

Join us in celebration of life!
Signs of Lent
The season of Lent is a time of reflection and soul searching. It has been a time of preparation for the celebration of Easter since the earliest days of the church. This tradition with ancient roots is designed as a personal call to repentance, an invitation to reorder our lives and a time to be intentional about our Christian walk.

Our Lenten theme this year is of “Road Signs” and how their messages apply to our life as Jesus Followers. Each Wed., beginning Feb.14 , until Resurrection Sunday pm April 1 will focus on the following signs: U-Turn, Stop, Merge, Yield, One Way, Dead End, Road Narrows, Food, Cross Road, Road Work Ahead.

Pie Sales Raise $13,000, New Center Opens!
Thanks to Nicole Green, a squad of volunteer workers, generous folks who underwrote part of the cost, or donated supplies and many contented pie-buyers, net profits from this year’s Pie-a- Thon were over $13,000! This donation from St. John’s was used to fund a brand-new Talitha Cumi center in northern India.

Located in Dehradun, near a Community Transformation Center, 20 women have
been enrolled in the inaugural 6-month tailoring class that started on January 4.
The money raised has also allowed for the purchase of 10 commercial sewing machines and all of the other items necessary to equip the new center. These women have much to look forward to as they hear life-changing news about Jesus and learn a skill that will empower them to support themselves and their families. Future Pie-a- Thons will enable more women to attend the new center. Thanks, St. John’s, and thanks be to God!
