Opens Doors to New Residents!
Our Assisted Living Facility is now OPEN and accepting applications for new residents!
Be one of the first to move into our new Medicaid-funded Assisted Living Facility. Located in Kings Park in a serene woodland setting, it offers amenities such as exercise classes, a library, beauty salon services, housekeeping and laundry services and recreation activities. Specialized services include physical, occupational and speech therapies, medication supervision, on-site physician services and care coordination by a licensed nurse. Our facility allows people to maintain their optimal level of function and freedom knowing that they are supported by residential services, medical supervision and personal care assistance as needed.

Kings Park Chamber of Commerce
Installs Officers & Directors at St. Johnland
On February 1st, St. Johnland's new Assisted Living facility hosted the Kings Park Chamber of Commerce Swearing-In Ceremony for Officers & Directors for 2023/2024. Special guest, Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, gave Chamber members an update on current issues in Suffolk County and took questions from the audience before swearing in the new officers. St. Johnland CEO, Mary Jean Weber offered welcoming remarks and Assisted Living Administrator Paul Wasser offered tours of the new facility.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Have some time or a talent you can share with our residents?
St. Johnland is seeking volunteers to assist with recreation activities. Are you a dancer, singer or comedian? Perhaps you would enjoy using your talent to bring a smile to our residents. Maybe you supervise a community outreach group that would like to coordinate with us during our activity period.

Resident Creates Collage to Thank Staff
Rehabilitation resident Lillian loved working with the recreation staff using the modality of arts. Using the mediums watercolor, markers and colored pencils, Lillian created this beautiful mosaic poster as a Thank You to all the staff here at St. Johnland with special thanks to the Rehab Department and The Inn.
 
National Wear Red Day
On the first Friday of February St. Johnland staff observes National Wear Red Day to raise awareness about heart disease as a leading cause of death among Americans, especially women.
EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH- Luz Perez
We would like to announce the employee of the month, Luz Perez! Luz has been a loyal staff member of our Environmental Services Department for almost 20 years. She has helped keep our facility beautiful with her dedication to cleanliness and infection control. 
As a primary housekeeper of our dementia unit, she has been become an asset to the population there. She makes sure to know her residents on a personal level and make them feel at home. Her gentle and kind nature with all of the residents is unwavering, and she treats them like family. She assures the residents that they are in a safe environment, always addressing issues with nursing staff when needed. 
St. Johnland is truly blessed to have such a caring and dedicated employee such as Luz. Thank you Luz for all your hard work throughout the years!

Souper Bowl Drive
Staff, residents and visitors are encouraged to donate cans of soup during the month of February. Donations will go to the St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry at St. Joseph's Church in Kings Park.
Soup Drive will take place from February 1-28.
Valentine's Day Sale
We will once again be
selling plush bears and candy for your loved ones.
Show them how much you care on February 14!
All orders will be hand delivered on Valentine's Day
along with your personal note.
