Grant from Townwide Fund Provides

Health Screening Kiosk

Funded by a grant from the Townwide Fund of Huntington, the Accushield kiosk will scan staff and visitors for a temperature check and ask a series of health questions that will allow for improved safety measures and contact tracing should it be needed. “Resident and Staff safety are a priority at St. Johnland, and the gift of this invaluable piece of equipment allows us a streamlined system for tracking visitors and staff”, said CEO Mary Jean Weber.

Staff News

Congratulations to Michelle Scheno who was recently promoted to the Director of Nursing. Michelle has been at SJNC for 14 years. In her new role Michelle will be responsible for the functions, activities and training of the Nursing Department.

SJNC Welcomes John MacKay, John has been hired as the new Director of Social Work. He obtained his Master of Social Work (MSW) from Adelphi University and has a proven track record of leadership in the social work departments of sub acute/ long term care facilities.

During the year, charity events are held to raise funds in support of the many vital services that provide a sense of engagement and dignity for our residents. This year we are planning on a Spring Gala and a Fall Golf Outing.
