Fiscal Year 2027 Public Budget Workshops Scheduled for May 11–20

St. Johns County will host a series of Public Budget Workshops from May 11 through May 20 as part of the Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) budget development process, providing residents with an opportunity to observe presentations, learn about County services, and engage in local government decision-making. Each session will feature detailed presentations from County departments, offices, and community partners outlining their priorities, services, and funding requests for the upcoming fiscal year.

St. Johns County Extends Burn Ban Again as Extreme Drought Conditions Persist

On May 4, St. Johns County extended its countywide burn ban for an additional seven days as extreme drought conditions and elevated wildfire risk continue across the region.Learn More.

CR 210 Roadway Improvements from I-95 to U.S. 1 Completed

St. Johns County has completed roadway improvements along County Road 210 from I-95 to U.S. 1, marking a significant milestone in enhancing mobility and connectivity for residents, businesses, and schools in north St. Johns County. The County celebrated the project’s completion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 24. The Office of Public Affairs produced a video to highlight this important project.

Silverleaf Sportsplex and Shearwater Community Park Under Construction

St. Johns County is currently constructing two new community park facilities designed to provide recreation, athletic space, and gathering areas for residents. The Silverleaf Sportsplex and Shearwater Community Park are both under construction and expected to open in early 2027. The Office of Public Affairs produced a video to highlight the projects.

Jail Annex Renovation Advances, County Preserving Historic Asset Through Collaborative Effort

The St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners has approved a contract to move forward with the renovation of the County’s Jail Annex (PDF), marking a major milestone in a community-informed effort to preserve a historically significant structure while maximizing public assets.


The approved project reflects months of coordination between St. Johns County’s Infrastructure Delivery Team, as well as St. Johns County Facilities Management, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, and the Cultural Resource Review Board.


The project would not have been possible without meaningful input from residents and stakeholders following earlier discussions about the building’s future.

Did you know the Utility Department does a basic analysis every 2 hours to monitor safety and conducts comprehensive tests throughout the year both at the treatment facilities and in the field?


These rigorous and frequent water quality testing efforts underscore the county’s commitment to public health and safety. Residents can trust that their water is being maintained to a high standard.

Tour de Farm Draws 500 Attendees Across St. Johns County, Showcasing Local Agriculture

The Tour de Farm event, held April 12 across multiple locations in St. Johns County, welcomed an estimated 500 attendees for a day of farm tours, fresh food, and hands-on agricultural experiences. The Office of Public Affairs produced a highlight reel to capture the day.
