St. Johns County Hosting Groundbreaking Ceremony for

Silverleaf Sportsplex and Shearwater Community Park and Library

On Wednesday, June 4, St. Johns County will celebrate the start of work on both the Silverleaf Sportsplex and the Shearwater Community Park and Library as part of the $123 million regional park plan.

SJC Volunteers Collect Over 850 Pounds of Trash from Local Beaches During 22nd Annual Turtletown USA Beach Cleanup

On May 10, St. Johns County hosted the 22nd annual Turtletown USA Beach Cleanup. Over the past two decades, this cleanup has helped remove litter and debris from St. Johns County beaches in preparation for sea turtle nesting season.

St. Johns County Announces Reopening of Butler West and Vilano Landing Boat Ramps on May 23

The Butler West Boat Ramp and Vilano Landing Boat Ramp reopened to the public on the morning of Friday, May 23, after a renovation program and waterway dredging, respectively.

SJC Parks and Recreation Celebrates Success of “Enjoy, Don’t Destroy” Anti-Vandalism Campaign

The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department proudly celebrates the success of its “Enjoy, Don’t Destroy” anti-vandalism campaign, which has saved the County tens of thousands of dollars in vandalism-related expenses.

On May 3, St. Johns County officials and staff joined members of the Field of Dreams Baseball League to celebrate the start of work on a major expansion of Field of Dreams Baseball, the County’s disability-friendly baseball field at Aberdeen Park.

Nature Book Club

Shark Tooth Exploration

Dolphin Walk

Meet us for a guided walk around Vilano Beach, all about dolphins! If you're lucky, you just might see some.  

Hallowes Cove Kayak Trip

Explore the estuaries of the Intracoastal before sunset with naturalists who will teach you about the diverse wildlife of the marshes.
