Dear St. Jude Families,
Happy July! I hope your first half of the summer has been filled with lots of outdoor activities and fun family time. A special welcome to all our new families who have joined our school community!
While school is closed for the summer, we are busy preparing for the first day of school.
Thanks to a great Auction and Race4Education (we raised a little over $20,000!) HGR Group Inc. has started our remodeling projects in our 4th grade and PreK classrooms.
Thanks to Larry Carver and Sarah Eck, many classrooms and the Marian Room have received a new facelift with a new coat of paint.
The Knights of Columbus painted the Keller Room and through a grant received, Ray Chilcote and his crew are finishing up the new tile in the Marian, Keller and Music Rooms.
Our EANS funding purchases (new tables, chairs, desks, science stools) have all been delivered.
Our HASA executive board has been busy purchasing school supplies for all our students.

Welcome to our New Assistant Principal
Mr. Chris Milliron will be joining us this August as our new assistant principal. Chris, his wife Jenny and their three children will be joining our St. Jude community. He is moving from Eugenie, Oregon where he has been an assistant principal at a Catholic school for the past 10 years.
Welcome to our New Facilities Manager
Mr. Isaac Davis joined our St. Jude community this week. He comes to us from St. Matt’s, where he has worked for the past 16 years.
We are in the final stages of hiring new teaching assistants and a Spanish teacher. In our next newsletter I will introduce all of our new faces.
2022-2023 School Calendar/ Start Times
Our first day of school will be August 17th. Please note that our school day will begin at 7:55 am. School doors will open at 7:15 am for Before Care. There is no charge for Before Care. All students in PreK-8th that are dropped off between 7:15-7:35 will head to the Keller Room.
Back-to-School Open House
Please join us for a Back-to-School Open House on Sunday, August 14th right after the 10:00 am Mass, from 11:00-12:30 pm when you can visit classrooms and meet teachers and staff.
Community Service Hours
“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” 1 Peter 4:10
Authentic stewardship flows from the recognition that God has given each of us unique talents and thus we should work with others to multiply our talents in service to the mission and ministries of the Church.
The excellence achieved by a Catholic school requires the support of dedicated parents and guardians. This school year, each St. Jude family is asked to give 25 hours (or more) of their time and talent to help support our mission. We ask that 5 of the 25 hours be in support of our fundraising events (Trivia Night, Auction, Race4Education).
Opportunities to serve will be communicated in the weekly school newsletter. Hours will be tracked by submitting a Google Form. You can find that form here and on our website.
Congratulations to our Pre-K!
Our Pre-K staff, Mrs. Carolyn Tellez, Mrs.Sarah Eck and Mrs. Jenni Crain have been working very hard since April for our accreditation site visit. This week we were notified that we have been accredited through Cognia for the next five years.
School Supplies/ Thank you HASA!
HASA has generously offered to purchase most of your child’s school supplies. Here is the list of what still needs to be purchased by you.
HASA is also looking for volunteers for the various events that are held throughout the year. Please use this form to sign up for the different events.
Uniform Orders
We have a new online uniform vendor. If you would like to order new shirts/sweatshirts with our logo, please use this link. Any orders placed will be delivered to school and sent home with your student. Orders placed before July 24th will be delivered to school by August 12th so they can be picked up at our Open House Event.
Athletics
If you have a child in middle school (5th-8th grade) and they are wanting to play sports this year, please complete this form. You will need to complete the form for each child you have in your family wanting to play a sport.
