St. Louis' Largest Multicultural Celebration, Festival of Nations, To Be Presented August 25 & 26

Exploring St. Louis' Many Cultural Traditions
ST. LOUIS (August 18, 2018)- The International Institute of St. Louis, the bi-state region's Welcoming Center for New Americans, will once again present its signature cultural celebration, the Festival of Nations, Saturday and Sunday, August 25 and 26, in Tower Grove Park in the City of St. Louis' Near South Side.

Now in its 18th year, the Festival of Nations is the St. Louis region's largest multicultural celebration.
Festival of Nations will feature:
  • Three stages of non-stop music and entertainment - everything from African drumming and Native American storytelling to Spanish flamenco and Scottish bagpipes.
  • 47 food booths - we'll have some favorites returning and added new this year are Georgian, Hawaiian, Lebanese and Syrian.
  • 38 gift booths - added new this year are German, Iraqi, Laotian and Nigerian.
  • Children's activities, World Sports & Games Meadow, crafts demonstrations and dance lessons.
International Institute President & CEO Anna E. Crosslin, said, " The Festival of Nations is the perfect opportunity for people of all ages to experience and celebrate the growing international diversity that exists here in St. Louis. This colorful and lively weekend Festival will showcase the food, music, dance, crafts and cultures of people representing more than 60 nations."

Festival hours are Saturday, August 25, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, August 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Festival entrance is free. Food, beverages, and authentic handmade ethnic gift items will be available for purchase.
