Happy New Year!

Let's look forward to 2023! Here are some goals you can set for yourself this new year!

  • Practice being more present
  • Nature has a special way of guiding us through time, yet inspiring the “Aha!” moments we need right now. The next time you visit a park, stop to listen to the whistle of the wind while your eyes are closed; breathe in the fresh air; examine how the trees grow; and keep your eyes peeled for birds and squirrels. Visit our Parks!
  • Give back to nature
  • Nature has kept us moving forward through our most difficult times, and now more than ever it needs your help, too. Work with our partners at the Open Space Council, or visit the Parks Volunteer page.
  • Spend more time with family and friends
  • Our parks are open for picnics, basketball, tennis, pickleball. playdates, ice skating, games, park play, exploring, and visiting Suson Farm Park. Visit our Programs and Activities!
  • Get in shape
  • Working out in a park is a great way to stay active and in shape while enjoying the benefits of the outdoors. Enjoy fresh air and nature all around you while working on your fitness goals at your own pace. We offer outdoor running tracks, outdoor fitness equipment, trails, and courts near you. If you prefer working out indoors during the colder months, join one of our six (6) recreation centers! We have indoor tracks, courts, ice skating, and cardio and strength training equipment, plus join fun fitness classes.
