Are You Struggling?
Despite the separation, we are still a family and here for you. If your family becomes sick, challenged in some capacity, or experiences overall hardship during the school closure, please let us know so that we may help.

See the attached for important information from the school nurse on how you can stay healthy during this time.
"St. Louis Kids Serve Too" Social Media Campaign
April is the “Month of the Military Child.” There are 1.2 million military children of active duty members worldwide. We may be apart at this time, but as a Purple Star school, we are honored to call these children our friends and classmates at St. Louis. During the the second half of April (after Spring Break), we would like to run a special “St. Louis Kids Serve Too” social media campaign that recognizes the military families in our St. Louis School community. If your family would like to participate, please share a photo and the following information:
  • Military branch
  • Number of places lived (locations optional)
  • Number of schools children have attended
  • “Why did you choose St. Louis School?” or “What makes St. Louis School
  • special for your family?”
  • Please let us know if we may use your family’s last name in the post, or if you would prefer to be “anonymous”
Questions? Please contact Kristin Matheis, development@stlouisschool.org

Purple Sock Order Delayed - Due to COVID-19 closures, our purple sock manufacturer is closed until April 13 and is unable to ship our socks. When they do come in, we will schedule curb-side pick up and a virtual purple sock day to honor our friends!

INOVA StarKid 5k
As Inova continues to respond to the rapidly-changing COVID-19 situation, Inova Children’s Hospital has made the necessary decision to transition the 14th Annual StarKid 5k and Family Fun Run into a virtual event. This event raises money for Inova Children’s Hospital, providing life-saving care in a child-friendly environment close to home. These funds will be used to support research endeavors, simulation and educational programs, including support of the child life programs with the Inova Children’s Hospital.
