A Message from the Principal...
|
|
Dear St. Louis Families,
It is tradition at St. Louis that we dismiss in silence on Holy Thursday to remember the suffering and passion of Christ, who gave of Himself completely for our sins and mercifully for our salvation. It is powerful to witness the stillness and silence from 465 K-8 students! Knowing that our circumstances are vastly different today as we dismiss for our much needed break, I hope that each family will find time to be silent for some peaceful reflection and contemplation. Additionally, tomorrow is Good Friday, there will be Stations of the Cross streamed from St. Louis Church which I hope your family can attend virtually in order to reflect on the Way of the Cross with Jesus.
I wish all of you a very Blessed and Joyous Easter, and I pray that you have a wonderful break. Enjoy the time together as a family - - there is nothing more important than your time together. Please pray for peace and healing for our own community and especially for our world. I look forward to returning on April 20th refreshed and renewed as we head into the last weeks of the third trimester. With a late break, the last weeks will fly!
Peace,
Anne M. Dyke
Principal

"St. Louis Kids Serve Too" Social Media Campaign
|
April is the “Month of the Military Child.” There are 1.2 million military children of active duty members worldwide. We may be apart at this time, but as a Purple Star school, we are honored to call these children our friends and classmates at St. Louis. During the the second half of April (after Spring Break), we would like to run a special “St. Louis Kids Serve Too” social media campaign that recognizes the military families in our St. Louis School community. If your family would like to participate, please share a photo and the following information:
- Military branch
- Number of places lived (locations optional)
- Number of schools children have attended
- “Why did you choose St. Louis School?” or “What makes St. Louis School
- special for your family?”
- Please let us know if we may use your family’s last name in the post, or if you would prefer to be “anonymous”
Purple Sock Order Delayed
- Due to COVID-19 closures, our purple sock manufacturer is closed until April 13 and is unable to ship our socks. When they do come in, we will schedule curb-side pick up and a virtual purple sock day to honor our friends!
