We need all school staff, parents and families at St. Louis to assist us in VCPE's legislative efforts this year by signing up for and utilizing the  VCPE Action Center  to contact their legislators to  OPPOSE  the effort to REPEAL the EISTC program and to stay informed on other issues of importance to the future of private schools in Virginia. EISTC is the Education Improvements Scholarship Tax Credits program that provides 25% of the financial aid funding St. Louis School receives from the Diocese.

Baroody Day Camp - Friday, January 17
St. Louis School has teamed up with Baroody Camp to offer a day camp on January 17th. To register, please visit . See the attached flyer for more information.

The February lunch ordering period is open until Wednesday, January 22. Order online ; don't miss out on hot lunch in February!

Refunds for inclement weather days in January will be issued at the end of the month and will be credited back to the credit card you used to purchase your January lunch.
Spirit Dinner at McAlister's - January 15 & 16
The first Spirit Dinner of the new year! (sorry for the Moe's confusion this week - we will be back to Moe's in March!) Come to McAlister's Deli in the Mt Vernon plaza January 15 and 16 from 4-8PM. Lots of sandwiches, soups, stuffed baked potatoes, salads and more! PTO will receive 20% of sales. Come see your friends you missed over the long break!
Catholic Schools Week Bake Sale
Our Catholic Schools Week Bake Sale is on Saturday, January 25th after 5:30 mass and Sunday, January 26th from 8:00 am-2:00pm in McClunn Hall. Our bakers have baked you a variety of treats for everyone to enjoy. Please come and show your support at our PTO Bake Sale!

Online Raffle Sales Notice: When purchasing raffle tickets online, the HandBid site requires purchasers to create an account and automatically assigns a paddle number. Frozen Junior Tickets on Sale Now!
The Aldersgate Church Community Theater will be presenting Frozen Junior , a funny and family-friendly musical based on the hit Disney movie. The show features four St. Louis students – Ian Hixson, Nora Hixson, Isaac Nienaber, and Isabella Spooner. There are matinee shows on January 18, 19, 20, 25, and 26 as well as evening shows on January 17, 24, and 25. The theater is just a few minutes from St. Louis school at 1301 Collingwood Road. You can buy tickets online or at the door on the day of the show. 
March for Life - January 24
On January 24th, our parish will be joining thousands on the National Mall in the March for Life. Any families with students in grades K-7 are welcome to sign their students out from the school office for the day to take them to the March, and it will not be considered an absence. A bus will be available and is leaving the St. Louis Church parking lot at 10:30am. Go to for more information and to reserve your bus space.

**Any 8th graders who would like to attend the March may do so with our school staff chaperones, as long as they bring in a signed permission slip and a bagged lunch for the bus.
VIRTUS Session Scheduled at St. Louis - March 7, 2020
St. Louis will be hosting a VIRTUS session on Saturday March 7th at 9am. This is a great way to complete the training without having to travel to another parish. This training is required to be a chaperone or volunteer with students. Please visit  to register! Contact Ruthie Cody at with any questions.
