Weekly Prayer Intentions
Each day our school community prays for the intentions of our families. This week the following families were included in our prayers: Day, De Angel, Deeds, DeLorenzo, Dennison, Derr, Dibella, Dietrich, Doherty and Dooley.

WTOP Junior Reporter Contest Semi-finalist
St. Louis 6th grader Jillian Sheedy is a semi-finalist in the WTOP Junior Reporter contest! Help her by voting once per day from Nov. 2 until Nov. 10. She may win $1000 and St. Louis School will too! PLUS Jillian will have the chance to be featured on WTOP!
School Store Now Open Online!
Do you need another water bottle, car magnet or tote?
Check our our new online school store for these and other great items previously sold through PTO Boosters. Orders for in-stock items are available for pick-up or Kidmail delivery only. These items will no longer be sold in the school office. Land's End will still offer the school and alumni logos on a variety of apparel and gear.

To order a yearbook or upload photos for the yearbook, visit Pictavo Community at commpe.pictavo.com . Use Google Chrome for best results. Parents are welcome to upload photos for consideration in the yearbook (Hawks Day, Field Trips, Class Parties, CYO Sports, Cheerleading, Scouts, etc.). Please upload photos by early March.

PTO
Spirit Dinner at Firehouse Subs - Nov. 13 & 14
Come to Firehouse Subs in Kingstowne for our next Spirit Dinner. It will be Wednesday, Nov. 13 and Thursday Nov. 14! Subs, chips, salads, drinks and firehouse hats! Please see attached flyer for more details. This event makes money for anyone with our flyer - school family or not. Please share them! It is an all day event, great for teleworkers and stay-at-home parents.

Band Fundraisers
Krispy Kreme Donut Sale - Nov. 3
St. Louis concert band is having a Krispy Kreme doughnut sale fundraiser after the masses Sunday, November 3. $10/doz. Come get some tasty Sunday treats and support the band.

Christmas Card Sale - Orders due Nov. 4
Band Parents - It is time for our Christmas Card fundraiser, which raises money for our spring band trip. The profit margin on the cards is over 40% and all the profits raised will go directly towards trip costs for the individual student making the sale. Selling between 20-25 boxes of cards should cover the entire cost of the trip for your student. Order forms and money are due on Nov. 4. Please make checks out to  St. Louis Band . Cards will be distributed before Thanksgiving break. If you have questions, please email clairechatelin@gmail.com

Tickets on Sale for MVCCT's Matilda
The upcoming the upcoming Mt. Vernon Children’s Community Theater production of Matilda will feature performances from three St. Louis students –6th graders Isaac Nienaber and Katie Dunn along with 8th grader Isabella Spooner. This show is funny, fast paced, and family friendly. While all the shows of this run will be great, there is a group of St. Louis families who will be attending the November 16th show at 7pm. You can buy your tickets online. If you decide to attend the November 16th show, there is a section called “Special Seating Needs” with a text box. In that box, please write “St. Louis group” and the MVCCT staff will do their best to seat us in a group if you put that in the box.  
St. John Paul the Great H.S. Open House
There will be an Open House at Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School on  Sunday, November 3rd from 1:00pm to 4:00pm . All are welcome to tour campus, experience the house system, clubs, and sports. Meet the administrative team, teachers, coaches, current students and families of John Paul! 
John Paul's accredited college-preparatory curriculum under the leadership of the Nashville Dominican Sisters is a rigorous course of study, featuring a unique formation in Bioethics. John Paul is also proud to offer Special Services, which includes an inclusive Options Program: a special education program for students with moderate intellectual or cognitive disabilities.
