St. Louis Catholic School Newsletter
FEBRUARY 1, 2019
A Message from the Principal...
Dear St. Louis Families,

The weather tried to wreak havoc on us this week, but rest assured, plenty of Catholic Schools Week fun was still had by all, and it will continue with a final assembly on Monday starting at 12:45pm. We can’t finish up our celebrations without a Minute To Win It Competition between the teachers and 8th graders, and certainly not without our charity Slime event (still waiting to see if Mrs. Dyke and I get slimed too)! We will also be loading the parish van with all of the baby items that were donated for The MaRiH Center, to help pregnant mothers in need in our area. The children certainly love all the fun we have during Catholic Schools Week... and at the same time, I know that we are instilling in them service-focused, Catholic faith-filled values, and a lifetime of great memories.

Be sure to see the adjustment to our February calendars! February 15th was originally scheduled as an 11:30am dismissal professional development day, but it has been changed to a full instructional day with a 3:10 dismissal. We are in very good shape with our annual instructional hour/day requirements for the state, but we do our best to give back instructional minutes, when allowed, after we’ve had some periods of missed time. We understand if you’ve already planned something for that day and will make note if your child needs to be out.  Also, note the make-up date for the winter PTO meeting - - it has been rescheduled
for Feb. 12th at 7pm in the cafeteria.

Friday folders weren’t able to go home today, so they will go home on Monday. There is plenty of information in them, along with interims for some students, so be sure to look through and sign folders on Monday night. Please be safe on the roads as you enjoy your weekend activities and dream of warmer weather!

Peace,

Kathleen McNutt
Principal
The previously scheduled half day on Friday, February 15 is now a
FULL DAY with 3:10pm dismissal
