St. Louis Catholic School Newsletter
JANUARY 16, 2019
A Message from the Principal...
Dear St. Louis Families,
The Baptism of our Lord was celebrated this past Sunday, thus bringing us to the close of the Christmas liturgical season and back to Ordinary Time. And yet, nothing ever seems ordinary! The beauty and peace of the snow becomes a stark contrast to the craziness of ever changing schedules due to inclement weather, delays, etc. This is where prayer, hope and trust are paramount as we juggle home life, work and school, and find goodness in madness - - this is when we truly look to Choose Jesus.
We look forward to getting a new date on the calendar for our postponed PTO meeting. We should have that for you by the next newsletter/Friday folder. We are excited about all the preparations for Catholic Schools Week at the end of January, as well as for the Silent Auction at the end of February (Feb. 23)! Please see detailed info in the newsletter sections below.
Please pray for your teachers on Wednesday afternoon through Thursday as they have their staff retreat in West Virginia, and continue to pray for the unborn and all life as thousands March to the Supreme Court on Friday. Many blessings as you enjoy the MLK, Jr. Weekend, and pray for those who are out in the cold. All of you will most certainly be in my prayers!

March for Life, January 18th
On Friday, January 18, 2019, our parish will be joining thousands on the National Mall in the March for Life, as we speak for the unborn and bear witness to a respect for human life. There is no school that day, so it is a perfect opportunity for families to March together! See the attached flyer for details on transportation to the March or go to for more information and to reserve your bus space(s). Our eighth graders have been invited to join the teens of St. Louis Parish and the St. Louis Youth Ministers for a separate bus which will depart directly from the St. Louis parking lot. If your eighth grader has not signed up, go to for information. For those of you who can’t join us for the March, we ask that you keep the marchers, the lawmakers, and most importantly, the unborn and expectant mothers in your prayers.
