A Message from the Principal...
Dear St. Louis Families,

This is the time when St. Louis Parish and School celebrate ground breaking anniversaries … St. Louis Parish turns 69 and St. Louis School turns 62! Anniversaries remind us of the blessing of years and successes - - St. Louis School is such a tremendous blessing to me and my family, as I know it is for all of you, so this remembrance comes at a great time of year.

If you are like me, you are thinking about the week ahead and planning for turkey-eaters in your homes. My college girls return over the next few days and my extended family arrives during the week. I know that many of you have families arriving or travel ahead of you. I hope that as each of you prepare for Thanksgiving, you have time to reflect, be thankful and enjoy the many blessings that God gives us in each moment (even in the challenging ones!).

I pray that the weather will behave, at least for a while! Thank you for your patience as the call changed from delay to cancellation. I am grateful that everyone was safe and warm. Continue to pray for those who don’t have a home and are dealing with the harshness of winter.

We look forward to two full instructional days next week - Monday and Tuesday! I hope to see many of you at the various celebrations and feasts that will be happening throughout the grades.

Many blessings,

Kathleen McNutt

Author Visit at St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School - Nov. 16
Pride Wars: The Spinner Prince  author Matt Laney will visit St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes school. An unforgettable adventure, this first book in the Pride Wars series introduces a world where honor and duty, ferocity and faith, are tested by an unexpected hero.   Pride Wars: The Spinner Prince  is geared towards readers in grades 4-8. Readers from the Middle and Lower Schools are encouraged to stop by the Sinclair Library (400 Fontaine St., Alexandria, VA 22302) from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Students from other local area schools are also welcome to attend this event. All children must be accompanied by a chaperone. School Library Journal calls this book, “A strongly developed anthropomorphized animal adventure.” Mrs. Krut recommends it for fans of the Wings of Fire and Erin Hunter’s Warriors series.
