A Message from the Principal...
Dear St. Louis Families,

September is in full fact, it is already halfway through! This was a busy week with the beginning of grades 3-7 online Performance Series adaptive testing. Students will continue with assessments in Reading, Language Arts and Math over the next couple weeks. Our primary grades (Kindergarten, 1 st and 2 nd ) are beginning online assessments in Math and Reading (HMH Inventory Testing) over the next couple weeks as well. The teachers look forward to having the data for instructional planning, and they will be sharing it with you at Parent-Teacher conferences later in the Fall. All classrooms were busy this week with instruction and learning activities, and our 8th graders traveled to Hemlock Adventures in Herndon, VA where they worked on leadership and team building skills. I was so pleased to hear of their efforts together in addition to the memories they created.
I look forward to seeing all of you next week on Tuesday or Thursday night (or both), as we welcome you to our first PTO meeting and Back-to-School Night K-5 (Tuesday), and Middle School Back-to-School Night and Preschool Parent Open House (Thursday). Please see the attached flyer that went home in Friday folders. Let us all pray for those people who are dealing with the power of Hurricane Florence, and many blessings as you begin your weekend!
