St. Louis Catholic School Newsletter
SEPTEMBER 28, 2018
A Message from the Principal...
Dear St. Louis Families,

I am looking forward to picking up my college freshman from the airport this evening… she is home for her first visit since mid-August! It is a reminder that we are no longer at the start of the school year – we are fully engaged in learning and processes are underway. We have spent the month making sure that all drills have been practiced (and will continue throughout the year!), and we continue talks in and around campus about safety, kindness and character. It is a blessing to work with each one of the students, knowing that we are all here to serve one another.

As we enter a new month, there are so many things to look forward to in October... Fall fieldtrips, Picture Day, Confirmation, the Hawks 5K and Hawks Day, the Book Fair, and always - the celebration of Mass. I had the pleasure of thanking many of last year's Annual Fund benefactors at our wine and cheese event in McClunn Hall on Thursday evening. I am so grateful to the many families who gave to our fund through financial donations, service to the school, and prayer. Your contributions beyond annual tuition and fees make it possible for us to enhance learning in even greater ways through capital projects such as the cafeteria renovation, the media center renovation and the gym renovation. This year, we look towards a big security effort as we replace all original interior doors and add deadbolt lock systems to all interior doors.

Many blessings as we head into October and begin our focus on the virtue of reverence!

Peace,
Kathleen McNutt
Principal
