St. Louise School Weekly Bulletin

School News for Feb 1-7, 2024

A Note from Mr. Fuerte

Dear Families,

Thank you to those of you who have quickly returned your re-enrollment paperwork and paid your annual re-enrollment fee - you beat the price increase from $125 to $250, which will be instituted Tuesday, February 13, 2024.  If you have yet to re-enroll for the 2024-25 school year, please do so by no later than February 12, to save yourself $125!

We had a successful Open House on Sunday and appreciate all of you that referred families to St. Louise. Our 8 grade ambassadors were amazing, and we received countless compliments on their poise and knowledge of St. Louise School. A big thank you to all the parent and student volunteers who helped make it such a great event.

As we conclude Catholic Schools’ Week, I would like to give a BIG Thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped in the classroom during our Parish/Staff Lunch and CSW Masses. Also, I would like to recognize the Room Parents for organizing gifts and treats to make sure the faculty and staff feel appreciated.

New Middle School Program

Current families that missed out on our Middle School Presentation on Sunday during Open House, will receive an email from Mr. Fuerte with details about the new Middle School Program that will be implemented for the 2024-2025 school year. SCOUT SUNDAY PANCAKE BREAKFAST

FEBRUARY 4, 10:00-12:30 | PARISH HALL

Join us for the Annual Scout Sunday Pancake Breakfast for fun activities for the whole family. All boys and girls are invited to learn about the fun and breadth of today’s scouting experience.

Scouting, the original after-school program, is well known and respected for teaching youth ethics, citizenship, civic responsibility, leadership and social skills that cultivate self-confidence and resourcefulness. But also provides formative STEM and ecological learning experiences that build invaluable life-skills and perspectives crucial for tomorrow’s leaders. All while having fun and building friendships and memories that last a lifetime.

Learn about St Louise’s vibrant scouting community. Various organizations will be attending, including our Scouts BSA Boy Troop 641 and Girl Troop 8641, our Cub Scout Pack 641, our Girl Scouts, and Brownies. Come discover the one best suited for your children for ages kindergarten through 8th grade and beyond.

At the event, there will be a camping display with older scouts sharing their tips, stories, and s’mores. All boys and girls are welcome to race in our LEGO Pinewood Derby Races and a racing-related STEM activity. Our Girl Scouts will be on-hand to take your orders for those delicious girl scout cookies. Fun times for the whole family.

If you are interested in more information regarding any of the scout organizations, please email David Macias at [email protected] to get routed to the appropriate organization for more information.

A Note from Fr. Gary

Dear Friends of St. Louise,

This weekend is an important one in the life of our local church in Western Washington. After more than a year of preparation and consultation, this weekend Archbishop Etienne is sharing with Catholics in Western Washington his decision on the composition of the “parish families” that will formally begin this coming July 1. There are some proposed parish families in the Archdiocese that have been reconfigured, based upon the input of parishioners. But at this writing, I am 99% certain that we will be a parish family with St. Madeleine Sophie Parish in Bellevue, based on the positive input that you gave to that proposal last Fall. If that proves not to be true, well then, we will pivot!
