Summer Reading is fun for all ages. Anyone can participate, whether you’re reading to your newborn, are a brand new reader in elementary school or reading your way through high school. For more information click here, or check our calendar for summer reading events and activities.
Do you enjoy taking photos of wildlife? Are you interested in contributing to dolphin research? FAU Harbor Branch invites you to participate in their new land-based Dolphin Spotter citizen science project. Join us for this informative lecture and learn how you can be a part of FAU’s citizen science project.

DIY Sewing Time offers 2-hour sessions available by appointment. Suited for patrons ages 16 years and up. Call to reserve your session - 772-462-2154.

Off the Hook Crochet program for adults is offered Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:30 PM and is open to all skill levels from beginners to experts. Learn new stitches and techniques or just come and crochet with others.

Teens - don't miss Off the Chain Crochet for Teens! All skill levels welcome. Tuesdays from 3:00 - 4:30 PM.

This year, we've expanded the Summer Reading Challenge to include adults. Staff have selected titles for each of four categories: Mystery, The “Florida Experience”, Historical Fiction, and Modern Science Fiction. To learn how to join the adult reading challenge click here.
Library book discussion groups are being conducted by video-conference on Zoom or inside the library with social distancing practices in place. Copies of the books discussed are available in print, e-book and audiobook format. General information is available here.

Virtual Zoom Book Discussion Selections for July (registration required):

Thursday Evening Book Group - Thursday, July 7, 6 pm - Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. This group will meet both in person at the Kilmer Branch and on Zoom, your choice. Limited copies are available in print and online audiobook format, and the meeting is limited to the first 15 registrants. Zoom Book Group - Sign-up for the July meeting will be available June 30. Discussions will take place Wednesday, July 27, 2 pm & 7 pm, online of Groundskeeping by Lee Cole. To take part in this group check out one of the digital versions of the book - unlimited copies will be available - and pre-register using our online form.
