Parent-Teacher Conferences

The online conference scheduler is now open and will close October 18 at midnight. New families need to set up a new account and should have received an email with this information. All returning families should use the login information they used last year. Please contact Andrew DiMarco with any questions.


Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 20 in the school gym.

Feast of St. Luke Sunday

This Sunday, October 16, our Parish will celebrate the feast of our co-patron, St. Luke. All parishioners and friends are invited to the 11:00 am Mass at St. Luke Church, followed by a light luncheon in Waldron Hall. Come and spend time honoring one of our patrons and enjoying the company of friends.  

Regular Uniforms Begin Monday

All students must wear regular uniforms beginning Monday, October 17. As a reminder, shorts are not allowed during the regular uniform period. Click here for the complete uniform guide. 


Students in grades 4th - 8th may continue to wear gym uniforms to school on their designated gym class days. On colder days, solid navy blue or Bearcat sweatpants may be worn. Leggings are not allowed.

Pizza Tuesday October 18

Pizza will be served to those students who placed an order with Marlas Lunch. All students may wear Bearcat spirit wear.

Altar Server Training Tuesday, October 18

Students in grades 5 - 8 are invited to become an altar server. Training will be held on Tuesday, October 18 at 3:00 pm in St. Luke Church. This training is intended for those students who are new to altar serving, but those who have served before may attend for a refresher. Altar servers will support both school and Parish masses.

Early Dismissal Thursday, October 20/No School Friday, October 21

Students will dismiss at 11:30 am on October 20 for Parent Teacher Conferences. There will be NO afternoon EDS.


Our next Staff Professional Development day will be on Friday, October 21 so there will be no classes on that day.

St. Luke Night at Lou Malnati's Tuesday, October 25

Take a night off from cooking and support St. Luke School by ordering a delicious pizza (or two) from Lou Malnati's in Oak Park. On October 25, Lou Malnati’s will donate 20% of total sales to your organization from every order received from Dine-In, Carryout or Delivery (within zone). Make sure to show the flyer or mention fundraiser during your phone order.

Trunk or Treat Friday, October 28

Save the Date: the St. Luke School Trunk or Treat will take place on Friday, October 28 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. 


All school families are invited to join the fun in the school parking lot beginning at 5:00 pm. Pizza, hot dogs, and other food will also be available for sale. It's sure to be a spook-tacular time!!


'Trunk' volunteers are needed! If you would like to decorate your car and hand out a nut-free treat, please sign up here.

Halloween at St. Luke

On Monday, October 31 students are allowed to come to school out of uniform to celebrate Halloween. They may wear black/orange clothing or simple, appropriate Halloween costumes to school. Accessories to costumes will not be allowed; this includes hats, weapons, masks, and wigs. Make-up and face paint are also not allowed. Classrooms will have a Halloween celebration on the same day. Due to allergies and other health concerns, students may not bring treats to share.

Bearcat Athletics Update

Cross Country Update

Last weekend our Bearcats competed in the State Sectional competition with some truly impressive results.


In his first attempt running a formal 2 mile race, 5th grader Luke McConnell shatters the school's all-time 2 mile record set last year, recording a 12:28 time and taking 14th place overall! Luke will now compete is the IL Cross Country State Competition.


Our 2022 girls XC team will now stand as having earned the highest Sectionals placement score in school history.  Their phenomenal 5th place score nearly qualified our entire squad for the state competition. Congratulations to Fiona Connelly, Isabelle Lefko, Lily Martens, Destiny Sacluti, Caroline Sheahan, Lila Sheahan, and Mia Winter.  


Pink Out Soccer Game Tomorrow

Join us tomorrow for the 1st annual Pink Out soccer games against St. Vincent. We will be kicking for a cause with donations supporting the Silver Lining Foundation. The St. Luke 6th grade team will take on the St. Vincent JV at 4:15 pm and the St. Luke 8th will challenge the St. Vincent varsity squad at 5:15 pm. Games will be held at Centennial Field in River Forest and all are welcome. Wear pink and come cheer on our Bearcats!


Basketball Registration (Grades 4-8)

The basketball season is right around the corner and registration is now open for boys and girls teams. All students are welcome to sign up. Please see this email for complete details.

Soccer Pictures Needed for Yearbook

Please send any soccer pictures to Mrs. Crosswhite for the yearbook. Pictures can be from any practices and/or games.
