For those of you who have been setting aside money for the poor and those in need, this is a reminder to bring your Mite Boxes back to church this weekend as we celebrate the Risen King!
Boxes can be left in the basket in the Cafe after the services on Friday, Saturday, or Easter Sunday.
Thank you for giving and being a blessing!

There will be no Cafe this week after the service as we celebrate the Risen King with our family and friends.

St. Luke’s Golf League
It’s time again to embark on “The Greatest Game Ever Played.”
In anticipation as always of that “break-through” year,
all golfers are welcome to the 2022 golf season.
This year the St. Luke's Golf League are planning to play at
Pine Valley Golf Club, 469 Reimer Rd, Wadsworth.
They have made several improvements to the course,
including a comfortable clubhouse and outdoor place to gather afterwards for food and refreshments as we’ve done years past.
Please note, we have currently set up our first date of play for WEDNESDAY, APRIL 20th, weather permitting,
with tee times starting at 5:20 p.m.
Any golfers who want to play 18 holes can tee off in the afternoon.
And remember, it’s all about the clubs, not the swing!
Hope you can play this year...whether weekly or on occasion,
your presence matters. Enjoying the outdoors, playing a great game, and building Godly relationships is our mission.
If you have questions or know someone else that might be interested, please contact Mike Koly at 330-618-4037.
Expanding our league to others would be fantastic!
Additional details may to follow soon!

St. Luke's Youth Group Mission Trip Raffle
The St. Luke's Youth Group will be taking a mission trip
to Pittsburgh, July 16th-22nd.
On May 22nd, after church, the youth group will be holding a raffle to raise funds for their summer mission trip to Pittsburgh - and we need your help!
Here’s what you can do:
#1) Donate items - We are looking for donations of things that we could raffle off. It could be a themed gift basket full of items, a personalized and handmade item of value, or anything else that other folks would be excited to win.
#2) Help get donations from local businesses - We’ll be reaching out to businesses in our community to ask for donations to the raffle, and we need folks to help knock on doors and ask around.
#3) Make sure you put May 22nd on your calendars - plan to join us after church and help us raise the funds we need to go out and join in with kingdom work going on in Pittsburgh!

As we've been learning and studying what it is like to live a 'Rule of Life.' Fr. Dan and Fr. Andrew have mentioned Justin Earley's book "The Common Rule."
The books are available at bookstores, Kindle, or other platforms, but we are making the book available to anyone interested, along with a copy of 'The Rule of St. Benedict.'
|
|
You can get both for only $15 by contacting the church office.

Our church Wi-Fi has been changed, boosted, and updated.
The new Wi-Fi is called “StLukesWifi” and it is available throughout the building.
If you would like to access the new building Wi-Fi,
see Fr. Dan or Jim Fulton for the password.

What is "Stage 4"?
Stage 4 is a group of regular people who happen to have cancer or have been closely touched by cancer in their lives.
What does "Stage 4" do?
Stage 4 creates comfort bags which are given to people entering into chemotherapy and cancer treatment. The bags are created by people who have gone through cancer treatment themselves and have a unique prospective on how to make time in treatment a little easier.
Why does "Stage 4" do this?
We are guided by 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, where we are told about the God of all Comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
How much do these bags cost?
The comfort bags are available free of charge for both men and women in cancer treatment.
How can You help with this ministry?
You would be most welcome if you would like to help with putting together comfort bags. Stage 4 meets in the Lower-Level Conference Room at St. Luke's Church on Thursday mornings at 9:30 AM and on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM.
