At its heart, Family Table is a casual, intergenerational dinner where everyone is welcome. We had such a nice time building this new tradition together last year, and we're looking forward to seeing how it continues to grow this year.
A few details:
-
Cost: Meals are offered with a freewill donation to help offset expenses. We can reimburse you for the meal, so please hold on to your receipts.
-
Volunteers: Ministry teams and individuals are invited to help cook, serve, or clean up. You don’t have to do it all, three volunteers per week is usually plenty! And Amy will be there every week to help with set-up and clean-up.
-
Menus: We’ll keep things simple, affordable, and family-friendly, with meals like pasta night, tacos, mac and cheese, breakfast for dinner, and other easy favorites. Last year, we averaged around 30 people each week, including adults and children.
-
Sign-up: We have a Sign-up Genius available for anyone who would like to help with a meal. Click here to sign-up!
Our goal is simple: something nourishing for both body and spirit, a place to eat, laugh, catch up, and enjoy being together. We can't wait to see you Wednesday!

St. Luke's Sidewalk Replacement
Beginning Monday, October 12, we will begin replacing the sidewalk on the north end of St. Luke’s parking lot, near the Columbarium and the main entrance from our parking lot. On Thursday, October 15, work will continue with the second phase of the project near the south door.
During this time, access to certain entrances may be temporarily affected. Please pay close attention to posted signs and follow any directions provided to help ensure everyone’s safety throughout the project.
We appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we make these improvements to our church grounds. Thank you for helping us keep St. Luke’s safe and welcoming for all!

Lunch on the Hill -- October 14 & 28
On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday every month, St. Luke’s and Our Lady of Mercy/Wild Harvest collaborate to serve a midday meal for our community. The Interfaith Food Cupboard and Olive Garden contribute food to supplement our meal with hearty soups and food. It is a real pleasure to prepare and serve meals to our community in Saint Luke’s Community Kitchen.
Over the years our lunch guests have grown into a warm, and welcoming community of support during tough times and celebration of good times. The “Community/Family” we provide is possible because of all the wonderful people who volunteer and support this outreach. Please join us between 11:15 AM and 12:15 PM to enjoy this very special community event.

Loaves & Fishes -- October 17
Loaves and Fishes is a collaborative food ministry supported by St. Luke’s and several local churches. Through your generous donations and support, we are able to continue serving our neighbors in need. On the third Saturday of each month, St. Luke’s provides hamburgers and other meal items to individuals in Woonsocket. Guests receive a bagged lunch and a hot meal, and seasonal clothing is also available. Your generosity helps make this ministry possible and allows us to extend St. Luke’s outreach and care to our wider community.
The next run is on October 17th and we are asking for long-sleeved T-shirts, sweatpants, hoodies, body wipes, white socks and underwear for men and women. We have also added toiletries to include shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste. It is appreciated if all donations of food and clothing can be in the St Luke’s kitchen by 9:30 AM on October 17, 2026.
In signing up, there is no expectation that one person needs to fulfill the total amount of a particular item. When using the SignUp Genius, please indicate how many of an item you will be donating and also include your phone number in the comments section. Click here to sign up.
We understand that there may be circumstances that change and you cannot participate despite initially committing to do so. In these cases we would appreciate your removing your name from the SignUp Genius. If you are not receiving the SignUp Genius in your e-mail and would like to do so, please send an e-mail to: saintlukesfeedingministry@gmail.com.
Your generosity is most appreciated. It allows St. Luke’s to continue helping those in need.
