Missions Newsletter - August 2026

Happy August, St. Luke’s Family!

The month of July was full of community. We celebrated Cohort 12 at Match Circles; we stuffed over 300 backpacks for Family Promise and Hope Community Center. We continued to deliver the beds we built in April with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. We shared meals with partners like Matthew’s Hope, Coalition for the Homeless, and Circles West Orange, and we volunteered at the Family Promise Back-to-School Bash! This is what community can look like when people come together to spread the love of Jesus. Thank you for continuing to be Kingdom Builders.

Below are some things to look forward to in August and the months that follow!

August Ministry Highlight

Through our St. Luke’s family of donors and volunteers, our monthly dinner at Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida provides nourishment for the body and soul of others in our community.

Last month after dinner a veteran in a wheelchair made a special effort to thank us for:

  • The delicious meal, calling it the best food each month
  • The kindness, true love, care, and compassion each St. Luke’s volunteer always shows

The St. Luke’s family truly embodies the spirit of Jesus in how we serve the people in our community.
