There are many needs in our community and in our body.
St. Luke's is a source of help and blessing to people facing difficult situations, meeting those needs and providing comfort and prayer to those affected.
The benevolence needs for our parish and community have exceeded the amounts we spent in all of 2023.
We have blessed to be a blessing in our tithe, our time, and our talents. We will have a special offering the first week of each month. Any loose cash or change in the offering will be designated for Benevolence.
Checks with 'Benevolence' noted in the memo section will also be added to our Benevolence fund.

Blessing of the Animals
Bring your pet to church! (Not for the service, but afterwards for a blessing.)
This Sunday, October 6th, from 2:00-4:00 PM, St Luke's will host a blessing of the animals, where you can bring your pet to be blessed and then check out some tables set up by organizations that are involved in loving and caring for animals.
Why do we bless animals? Well, God was the first one to bless animals - when he created them in Genesis. And so on the Sunday closest to the feast day of St Francis (who was known to love animals so much that he called them brothers and sisters, and even preached to them!), we invite everyone who has a creature that they care for to bring it to church so we can thank God for the whole created world and ask Him to bless them.
