Scriptures for this Sunday, February 26th

Genesis 2:4-9, 15-17, 25-3:7 • Psalm 51:1-13

Romans 5:12-22Matthew 4:1-11

This Sunday, February 26th, is St. Luke's Annual Meeting.

After the service, we invite everyone to join us for a look back at what the Lord has done among us this past year and a look ahead to the direction and vision God has giving.

St. Luke's will also be providing sandwiches, soup, salad, chips, and cookies for everyone before the meeting.

Lenten Teaching Series

Lent is a chance to see our need for God, renew our spiritual lives, and give us a new appreciation for the grace of God and his incredible love for us.

Join us Sundays in March, beginning March 5th, after our Sunday service as we talk about some of the common themes that run through this wilderness season and how they can help us walk closer with Jesus as we prepare to fully enter into the joy of the Easter season.

We’ll be pulling a lot of ideas from Esau McCaulley’s "Lent: a season of Repentance and Renewal." (Order a copy if you want to read along, but you won’t be required to read it in order to join us).

Our Building Manager,

Kathy Nelson, is retiring at the end of February.

Kathy has worked behind the scenes as our bookkeeper, grounds manager, and building supervisor for the last 10 years and we would like to bless her with Thank You cards and blessings for her years of service.

This Sunday is your last chance bring your cards, gifts, or blessings. Blank cards will also be available in the Café for you to leave your messages of thanks and appreciation.

Stage 4 Sponsor-A Bag

Sponsor-A-Bag is an on-going opportunity for individuals to support Stage 4 Ministry with the making and delivery of our Comfort Bags.

Sponsor-A-Bag was introduced to the community at-large in an article in the West Side Leader. (CLICK HERE to read the article)

Individuals have been invited to make a General Donation or a Sponsor-A-Bag donation through St. Luke's website. Those that chose to make a minimum donation of $35, and label it as a Sponsor-A-Bag donation, will have the opportunity to have their name included on the gift tag on the Comfort Bags.

This is just one way we hope to support our Comfort Bag ministry throughout 2023.

Creative Journaling

You are invited to be a part of a Creative Journaling Group beginning in February at Linda Tompkin's Glory Barn in Copley (just miles from St. Luke's).

The group will meet the second and fourth Mondays of the month from 7:00 - 9:00 PM.

No previous art training or experience is necessary to be part of this group. Drawing skills are not required.

Linda has many self-helps for your use in her studio including the stencils and stamps she used in creating her own journal pages.

Linda will be sharing various techniques she has used through her years of journaling. Each evening will focus on a different technique. Combining art with the written Word is a wonderful and rewarding way of connecting to self and the Lord.

Let Linda Tompkin know if you are interested by emailing her at linda@tompkinstudios.com.

Or call her at 330-697-6220.

The Glory Barn is located at 4780 Medina Rd. in Copley.
