Meeting Reminders for Sunday, June 5th
There are two meetings taking place after the service this week. If you're involved (or would like to be), this is your friendly reminder.
The St. Luke's Task Force, who handle small projects around the church, will be having a planning meeting after the service in the Rector's Office. Contact Chris Fodor is you need further information.
The St. Luke's Vacation Bible School team will be having their planning meeting in the Sanctuary directly after the service. Contact Penny Uhlenbrock if you have questions.

St. Luke's Vacation Bible School
Our Vacation Bible School is coming June 13th-16th.
All children ages 4 to 11 years old are invited.
Bring your family for a fun-filled time of sharing
the Gospel story through Word and Action
with Games, Crafts, and special Projects.
Each evening a meal will be served for the whole family at 5:30 PM before VBS begins.

VBS CRAFT Request
Here's a way you can help the our Vacation Bible School without actually being at the Vacation Bible School.
We need your EMPTY Cereal Boxes for VBS Crafts!
Please bring them to church and place them in
the Cafe. Donations need to be brought in
no later than Sunday, June 12th.

The Youth Group is changing to a Summer schedule.
Meetings will be held on Sunday evenings at 6:30 PM
in the Teen Center as noted below.
All students from 7th through 12th grades are invited.

St. Luke’s is coming alongside the outreach ministry of the church of Ela Kloda, a former member and friend of St. Luke’s, in Poland.
Her church has rented out two apartments for refugees, and they have committed to feeding 40+ families from the Ukraine. There are 85 children in these families of mothers (no fathers) and the cost is stretching their resources. It cost only $1.85 per day to feed one of the children.
We are asking our members to prayerfully support this outreach. Checks can be made out to St. Luke’s Church with Ukraine Outreach in the memo, or contact Fr. Dan for further information.

Our very own "Bob's Cafe" will be open this Sunday after the service. Join us for a time of fellowship, food, and refreshments.
All donations cover the cost of food and extra proceeds go to our our outreach ministries.

St. Luke’s Golf League
The St. Luke's Golf League meets each Wednesday evening
at the Pine Valley Golf Club, 469 Reimer Rd, Wadsworth,
with the tee times starting at 5:20 PM.
If you have questions or know someone else that might be interested, please contact Mike Koly at 330-618-4037.
Any golfers who want to play 18 holes can tee off in the afternoon. Contact Mike for tee times.
Enjoying the outdoors, playing a great game, and building relationships is our mission. We hope you can play this year...whether weekly or on occasion, your presence matters.

What is "Stage 4"?
Stage 4 is a group of regular people who happen to have cancer or have been closely touched by cancer in their lives.
What does "Stage 4" do?
Stage 4 creates comfort bags which are given to people entering into chemotherapy and cancer treatment. The bags are created by people who have gone through cancer treatment themselves and have a unique prospective on how to make time in treatment a little easier.
Why does "Stage 4" do this?
We are guided by 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, where we are told about the God of all Comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
How much do these bags cost?
The comfort bags are available free of charge for both men and women in cancer treatment.
How can You help with this ministry?
You would be most welcome if you would like to help with putting together comfort bags. Stage 4 meets in the Lower-Level Conference Room at St. Luke's Church on Thursday mornings at 9:30 AM and on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM.

To help those in need in our community, St. Luke’s is partnering with the Copley Outreach Center.
The Copley Outreach Center is a privately funded, volunteer-driven center founded to reach out to the community to assist families who find themselves unable to provide basic needs such as food or shelter.
|
|

St. Luke's receives 4¢
per pound for
the clothing collected.

All the clothes you've been stashing in the corner of your spare room can now be brought to the Clothing Shed at the back of the church parking lot.
It's a great place to donate gently used clothing and you'll be helping those in need, too!
Please put your donations in tied bag and put in the slot to keep them safe and dry. (Do not use boxes or put clothing in the shed un-bagged.)
